Yeah he is a Hittite from the newest stuff, so a proto roach-scorpion kangz. Hittites in real life had double headed eagles which makes the Imperial's use of it sensible. Basically, a turkroach with a boner for Romans. A roach roman-kin?

This. Just get two custodian guards boxes and you'll almost have an entire battalion, only missing an HQ. Custodes are budget as fuck.

To be honest I'd say that depends on your local meta. If they're not playing tryhard sweaty nerd lists you can generally play with sub-optimal lists and do well with Custodes.

Yea bro thats what im saying. The forge world stuff is a near necessity for them, if not in practicality, at least in style. The forge world models pretty much have an answer for every one of their main weaknesses (minus the inherent small army size). I mean fuck, they are the sexiest even out of the other legion's contemptor dreads, and the alpha legion one is REALLY sexy. I have a feeling thats why GW made the land raider and normal contemptor so shitty looking.

I just want to say that I finished Betrayer today and it is one of the best books I've read in a long time. Its just great all around and reading the confrontation between Kharn and Erebus at the end after hearing about it for so long is super satisfying, and Kharn is one of my new favorite characters now.

The new Death Guard rules made me sad. Stratagems for deepstriking Poxwalkers and +1 A Plague Knives don't thrill me. And the Blightbringer relic is almost useless, giving Plague Marines a 5+ invuln save if they're within 7 inches. Sounds okay, but this is really only a benefit if they're being hit by -2 or greater AP weapons, which means they only matter against guns that shouldn't be aimed at them in the first place.
