If you want a shooty dread, Leviathan dreads with duel storm cannon arrays have been recommended, those will be pricey in 9th but with small boards they will be able to cover a lot. Also, consider an Invictor warsuit, the changes made them make them very appealing too.

Always get a Leviathan. They're gorgeous murder machines. FW even has a Blood Angels Leviathan now.

Forge World Dreads are just the best period. (So are their terminators).

I've made an adjustment to my Alpha Legion list:
Instead of Helbrutes, I am going with Ferrum Infernus Chaos Dreadnoughts.
They have the same stats and weapon options as Helbrutes, but have their wits still.
Problem is that they no longer have models, but I could simply kitbash a Venerable Dreadnought to get the results I want.

Fuck that bro, get this.

So I have enough to make a basic CSM kill team out of the Dark Imperium box. Wanna get a few Reivers to make a similar SM team -- basically, I have everything except for the Primaris Reivers to make the "First Strike Kill Teams" based on the 8e Mini-box, First Strike. Would probably paint them as former Deathwatch so I could run them as a DW KT instead of a SM KT.

I think they have to be Death Guard, not specifically CSM, though, which is sad cause I'd rather go... Black Legion? Sons of Malice? The Cleaved? Alpha Legion? Not sure.

Sigmarxism and their goons are trying to get Youtube to remove Arch over the email campaign.

Sigmarxism is demonstrably worse, though. I hate Arch's complaining and when he rolls his r's I want to throw a shoe through the internet, but Sigmarxism wants to turn Warhammer into something unrecognizable.

At this point Arch and the people who are screeching at him have formed this weird mutually parasitic relationship. It’s a never ending spiral where no one comes out of it looking good and the only winners will be the ones who don’t take part.

This is exactly how I feel. Arch, like Sargon, thinks he's a LOT smarter than he is & can be unbearably smug but he's miles better than the Sigmarxism types. I enjoy some of his lore stuff, mainly the HH book breakdowns because I skipped a bunch I wasn't that interested in.

On an unrelated note I'm pumped for Saturnine. Really been enjoying the Siege of Terra books so far.

what with the primaris fillin in the ranks and getting new chapters created, i hope there is a chance for my silver clad gents to come back from the grave and seeing what Thade has been up to.

So I finally got into the resin printing game and I gotta say, it's pretty neat. About to paint up some not-Skitarii and see how they turn out.

Not as....detail...loaded as GW models, but I'm not seeing that as a negative.

Though have a pic of a quickly painted not-Dunecrawler: IMG_20200711_221143.jpg

Didn't have a troop color yet, so he got the same color for now. Also no lights/lenses yet. Still working on that :D

This reminds me... there was a chapter that fell to chaos over the course of a few novels, that ended in the last ... few of them being found loyal? But ending up committing suicide via eye of terror?

Soul Drinkers. There we go.

It would be interesting seeing GW do a new book series of Primaris Soul Drinkers. Having to basically rebuild a dead chapter, living up to it's namesake, dealing with old oaths and debts, being introduced to a world and an abandoned fortress monestary that had been left behind, that sort of thing. I think ADB did one about Space Marines in a declining chapter, too, Emperor's Spears or something?

Anybody familiar with modern GW US pricing: what do you expect the necron force in the set would cost on its own without the warriors, swarms, and cryptothralls? I'm considering getting the set but I last played 3e necrons so I don't need or want more warriors or swarms and the angry barrels look stupid to me.
I’ve seen that prices are usually half of Australia’s prices. So it’s about 35 USD for characters, 50 for special units and 60-80 or sometimes 100 for big models.
