@CwChalk The name of the warband is actually The Purge. Their whole deal is that the entire galaxy is corrupted by Chaos and every living thing must be killed off... so they pray to Nurgle to spread diseases?

Ah, thanks for the correction. They came to the conclusion that all was corrupt when they were a loyalist chapter, then turned to Nurgle.

Considering they're feared by other chaos astartes, and despite being a minor warband in the fluff, I hoping to ses some interaction between them and the Death Guard at Ultramar... Probably just get their shit pushed in by Mortarion.

Zombies are pretty overdone, you could probably do a lot more interesting factions in 40k and still retain the horde feeling (tyrranids are far better, for example)

Press "F" for Elysians, Renegade and Heretics, and some Death Korps of Krieg units:

I really, REALLY hope we don't fight Astartes in Darktide; it would be so easy to do, but would rape the canon harder than a self insert super saiyan in a DBZ fanfic. Also, it better have good gunplay; Vermintide's ranged combat was always less than satisfactory. Probs had to do with the fact that it was set in medieval times rather than the 41st millennium.

I agree, but I still like plague zombies on the tabletop. They're a little more original at least. I've always wanted to fight renegades and plaque zombies with my imperial guard, war of the plebs.

A single Death Guard or Alpha Legion vs a small kill team of IG would make for a very interesting boss fight?

Actually, some daemons to back up the expected drivel of Cultists, mutants and zombies could be fun. This being Nurgle, we might see some REALLY disgusting creatures out of this, like Plague Drones and Beasts of Nurgle. Hell, maybe even a Great Unclean One as a fuck off huge boss to fight...

At least it stars the Imperial Guard, my favorite faction. Utterly sick of Spesh Mareens.
In service of the Inquisition so maybe they'll have some extra goodies and be some real veterans to explain why they are badass enough to be our protagonists. Although it looks like the malfunctioning lamp guy is a jumpy rookie the plasma gunner seems like a calm veteran they defer to.

I could see them having daemons or plague marines as boss fights but doing something to weaken them before the fight happens to explain why a small guardsmen kill team could finish them off. You could use the Left 4 Dead formula of large sequences of fighting off waves to accomplish an objective while they do it. Like say a Great Unclean One is the boss and is standing on the far end of a street fucking with a building that has some allies in it. The Guardsmen want to get its attention so they use a basilisk whose crew were slaughtered prior that's on the street. You have a large sequence of fighting waves of enemies as one player has to carry a shell to the basilisk, load it, and aim the gun. They blow a large hole in the Daemon and then have a proper boss fight where they have to target the hole to deal damage.

Naturally the game has to end with a bit of the Lord Inquisitor taking a personal interest in the squad and brings them in for "questioning".

Pox Walkers are smiling zombies. That alone gives them a feeling of weirdness that I don't think has ever really been capitalized on. I'd like to convert some Marines into Pox Walkers, the contrast with that idiotic grin would be so cool.

I know next to nothing about halo except the fact that the fans are really spergy with the lore

kind of hoping we start seeing slaannesh get some screen time soon, would make for an interesting change up of enemies, hell maybe it'll just be chaos demons in general.

If the Inquisition is involved, then our crew may be never seen again.
Unless the second game as the Inquisition as antagonists....

Next to the monolith the landspeeder is one of the worst kits I’ve had to put together. The worst part is I have three more to build one of which will be a talon master. The front weapon has been left of for ease of painting.
