Did you clean up the sprue tab spot on the center-top of the backpack? If that's not cleaned up it can ruin a paint job. It stands out like a tranny on a golf course.

yeah I use the citadel Mould line removerTM tool. Felt I should try it after a nasty hobby knife accidentally I had a little pricey but I really do prefer it.

Ya know, everyone mocks the Citadel Mold Line Remover, but I got one and it's really nice. Hefty, sturdy metal, and it's curved tip means no scratching bits when I'm trying to de-mould things.

I prefer Citadel's base and shade brushes, and I've grown fond of my painting handle, but Army Painter's detail brushes are unbeatable as far as I'm concerned. I have the same Xacto knife I've been using for models for sixteen years, and everything else on my table is a mix of Army Painter and Privateer Press kit.

I would like to add a heartfelt thumbs up for the BL novel The Infinite and the Divine. If you're a Necron fan, you'll enjoy this as it's the tale of Trazyn and Orikan spending 10,000 years fucking with each other over this artifact they're fighting over.

At one point Trazyn leaves a pack of Catachan devils in Orikan's spaceship, and Orikan retaliates by deactivating the stasis systems in the Ork section of Trazyn's galleries. It's really hard not to laugh at the absurdity of these two immortal murderbots feuding like a pair of angry old men from opposites sides of a long-gone war.

Looking at the contents for the BA patrol box. It's kinda worthless for playing actually BA. Solely because GW insists on them being primaris. Though I'm happy that BA is still one of the more Astartes focused space marine chapters still.

Outside of characters that were probably designed years ago and just now coming out, has GW put out ANYTHING not Primaris in the past few years?

Just read Perturabo Hammer of Olympia. Didn't know too much about him before other than that general descriptions in the lore made the Iron Warriors seem sympathetic and put-upon. Book certainly raises questions over that. Perturabo is such a fucking unlikeable autist. Has tantrums whenever anyone breaks his perfect routines and plans, plays with models, barely understands human emotions except through some weird autist maths... Oh and regularly kills humans who deliver bad news to him in pathetic childish outbursts. It's a pity Rogal Dorn didn't give him a swirly and shove him in a locker, where he belongs. I liked the book, though. The hrud were interesting.

Technically, the redemptor does not have the primaris keyword. But outside of characters, no. They have be setting up the primaris equivalents of the Space Marine range. Which makes me wonder, what other replacement can they do? The rest of the vehicles, flyers? They are pretty much done with infantry and yet they have about 10 units without individual kits.

Huh, I just realized Games Workshop is like their playerbase; they have a shit ton of unfinished projects lying about.

There's still no Primaris jump infantry equivalent, which is probably for the better considering how neutered the options would be.

Inceptors, Suppressors, and Kayvaan Shrike all have jump packs.

But jump infantry don’t fit the primaris line. They lack cheap transports and quick redeployment that firstborn have in spades (rhinos, drop pods, teleportation, and jump pack assault marines).

I should've phrased it differently, but I was thinking of jump pack assault models. None of the two generic Primaris jump infantry models have any sort of CQC wargear, the real good stuff.

Yeah, assault jump intercessors would be utterly broken.

Speaking of assault marines, has anyone ever seen assault marines be used without a jumppack? I feel like they are practically naked without the pack.

The best part is when Trazyn just pops completely out of nowhere as a Deathmark and shoots Orikan in the face. The fading diviner says he doesn't have the macguffin but Trazyn doesn't care, he's just fed up with this asshole.

Other notable highlights include the two of them going on trial together and Orikan repeatedly savescumming because he can't stop getting himself screwed by admitting to highly illegal shit (this later causes a daemon incursion by weakening the fabric of reality) and Trazyn getting his own statue and stained glass window on an Imperial world as a very thin Silver Skulls Librarian. Someone mysteriously throws a rock through said window at one point.
