Or you can field all four assassins to make your army even more elite. It probably won't work but it ought to be funny.

I just saw Dark Eldar beat a rather optimized Salamanders list. Quite shocked tbh salamanders had the works Eradicators, aggressors, chaplain on bike still nothing.
Eradicators aren't that cool now since the price increase.

The Tabletop Titans video? Looking at the lists, the Eradicators were a waste. 305 points for double shooting melta weapons against a mainly infantry army. The Salamanders needed some more aggressive melee units. Vanguard vets with lightning claws, bikers, assault marines. Dark Eldar have a lot of Damage 2 weapons (looking at you, Incubi), easily wiping out squads of Space Marines.

In a way, I like that there is a lot more variability in weapon damage. As wounds don't carry over, a Damage 2 weapon has the same threat to a Guardsman as a Damage 1 weapon. The only thing I don't like with 9th editions melee is that units are getting an overall increase in attacks without a change in survivability. It seems like if you get charged by a unit of Wyches or Primaris bikers. you might as well just take your models off the board.

An excacution squad for custodes is just a waste. The custodes will outperform 3/4ths of the squad because they have access to custodes stratagems(some of the best in the game). The vindicare was really nice to take, but with the changes to look out sir and shit like that, he just isn't worth.

Do Sisters of Silence serve an anti psycher role better than bringing along a Culexus? Or is their Deny the Witch strategem(?) sufficient for most armies except Grey Knights and Thousand Sons?

Sisters do what the culexus does, but where are more of them, and they are a cheap troops option for a army that could use that.

I don't see SoS run ever in Custodes, curious if it's just the pool of BatReps I watch, or they are not worth it.

I also never see the, I think all imperium, rule where you can bring an assassin with out giving up your faction rules and you can spend a CP(?) to switch it out for any other assassin. To me it seems like it's extremely good utility, especially if you're doing a blind lists.

I still don't have 500 points painted yet, so I'm still outside observing the meta and using Auspex Tactics opinions as my own, though.

Sisters are good if you want to go heavy on fast attacks, elites, heavy supports.

The assassin strat to change them out for cp is kind of retarded. Most cases you're taking an assassin to plug a whole that your army lacks, so you would want to switch out anyway. Only really matters in a tournament setting.

Yeah I’m guilty of this my raptors army has 6 outriders and a bike chaplain. I needed some melee to help my overly range focused army.

*Recently brainstorming Raptor successors*

What's a melee?

looking for opinions on this Word Bearer list I cranked out. Wanted to fuck around with the changeling aura

Hm. All the Betrayal at Calth stuff went out of stock at the same time on GW's page. The Mark 4 Space Marine kit, the Cataphractii terminators, and the two hero units.
Mk4 and Cataphractii are still in stock on the UK page, it's probably just temporarily out of stock. I know Valrak recently did a rumor video about a new 30k relaunch but I wouldn't hold my breath. Rest in peace Bligh.

I question the cultists seeing how crap they are now.
when your two options are 10 wounds with no save or 5 wounds with a save that is gonna get ignored anyway, and that squad is 10 points more, the choice is pretty easy to make
