40k is fascist by proxy of its fans, who are fascist because they hate girls and colored folk as you can see by this clever comic showing white neckbeards freaking out about a black girl in a GW store. Even though nobody likes bigots, that one unironic incel defines the entire fandom because we didn't make a performative song and dance about disowning some random embarrassment. Marines can only be boys so that's really sexist and fashy too, even though nobody says shit about the SoB/S, Imperial Army, AdMech, Xenos etc. Maybe most people regard Sisters as equals to the Brothers, but they're inherently inferior because they can't be Astartes. Can't you see I'm arguing for equality and not coom reasons, even though if Astartes were all female nobody would've said anything, and Sisters can never be musclegirls with big feet which is definitely not my fetish.

Nobody wants to play with me because I'm lgbt/have feMarines/big tiddy Orks. They should listen to me when I tell them how problematic their all-male Marines are, or how their Krieg army triggered my trauma of colonialism. I'm 1/32 Navajo, you know. It's really shitty they tell me to just play, and stop talking about my Lesbian Trans Chapter that takes the time to racially diversify their recruiting pool. Don't they know silence is violence? They need to learn to listen to marginalized voices. I'd rather not play at all than with such hateful people.

I know you don't want politics in your dumb game, but have you ever played Metal Gear and Super Mario? It's not that I totally misunderstand the point of that statement or anything, I just don't think you understand everything is politics. By having nazi imagery in a fictional game, you might become a real Nazi. Think about that.

In 30 some-odd years, I’ve played a GW game with one black guy and have seen a handful of ugly girls trying to get the attention they crave by half-assing it in all-male gaming groups.

Look at any of the photos or camera footage of a tournament. If you see anything but a white guy, you squint, draw closer, and say to yourself, ‘Is that a ______?”

Despite the diversity screeching, it’s going to be awhile before you have two non-White male opponents in a row. Even if one of them is in a dress and tries to tell you his pronouns before the game starts.

Ngl I'm an elitist when it comes to hobby. I separate lorelets and PC gamers from people who actually play table top. Offline activity is way easier to gatekeep, and I predict that online fandom will become more insufferable as warhammer becomes more mainstream and lefties try to subvert it.

The online fandom has become insufferable. I think it was always near the edge but with the massive popularity on YouTube spike Warhammer has gotten of course it feels worse. Unironically, for better or worse the price and commitment to the hobby is our best defense right now.

With all the refugees from Star Wars or other sci-fi franchises it’s getting to a point where you literally cannot gatekeep.

Tl;dr people need to unplug roll some dice, and pick up the brush
 
My first models came in a little over a week ago.
Unfortunately I unboxed them with T-minus 12 hours until I had to be off on a job site for work, so I haven't had a chance to paint them up (although I'm currently bored as hell at work and wish I had brought them and some paints with).

I'm definitely planning on customizing the Flyrant. I'll 100% modify its gun to make it more organic looking as an appendage and less like an alien with a laser cannon.
I found an STL model for the Parasite of Mortex, so I might end up swapping the heads (albeit keeping the original head spike), and will swap the scythes on the back feet for rending claws.

The Warrior Prime I'm not sure if I want to keep his weapons. On one hand I prefer the organic looking x4 scythe look, on the other hand the whip and bonesword do kind of make him look more leader-like. He is getting rebased with new scenery though.

The Venomthrope I'm just going to keep vanilla.

A thought experiment: what would you have done if you were a German citizen during the rise of Nazism? An executioner in medieval times? A samurai asked to kill yourself or a sibling to preserve honor? Thinking honestly from various angles can be very uncomfortable, but it's important in order to understand history and humanity from an objective point.

These are concepts a lot of recent minds find completely intolerable and intolerant. They're terrified even by the idea of considering these, as if admitting they might've done evil things makes them immediately and truly evil. This gets extra fun if you don't let them take the childish answer of 'I would've assassinated Hitler.'

So, a tabletop game and IP built around this idea is something that these idiots want to change to be something straight outta a capeshit flick. Christ.

I"m sure there's proper tabletop games for their desires, but Warhammer seems to be the biggest one asfaik.

Mind you I like the ideas in warhammer and in wh 40k. it seems fun. shame i'm not too much into it outside of the vidya games because the one time i tried to get into it irl, it was with a public college thing and 4 out of 5 people in the event were insufferable twats.

The new Kruleboy on a giant vulture looks incredible. Between that and the Hobgrotz, I've overcome my initial misgivings about the faction. It can sit at the table with the cool kids where we all laugh at the Bonereapers and Yak Elves.
