Yes, the Wizard of Oz is beloved by nearly every generation. No, only 1 out 4 Matrix movies were really good despite the popularity in the 90s and early 00s (ymmv on this because the other 2 got some flak). No one really gave a fuck about Neo after the 00s, and the pills and Matrix concept are more memorable than Neo because of the Culture War and MRA/MGtow (zoomers aren't that big into Neo). The Mask movies were mostly mediocre if not shitty.

Yes, the new Wonka was popular, but Multiversus ended BEFORE the Wonka movie came out. 2023 Wonka came out last December, months after Multiversus flopped. It would have been weird to add Wonka even if you used the Gene Wilder version (We know WBD won't let the devs use the Depp version, and chances are the devs are lefties that hate Depp). You might want to do some research yourself.

If you think the Witch and Wonka should have been added over someone like Courage, Scorpion, Samurai Jack, etc. well...you're wrong.

Ok, you got me there. I didn't know Warner doesn't own Peanuts, but my point was there's a chance the devs will go autistic with the roster to show support for Sweet Baby because WBD from what I heard is going all out on supporting SBI and live service stuff.

They had licensing issues. Gandalf was set to be in the base roster till Amazon got the rights. Harry Potter also has some weird legal restrictions due to Rowling being able to control the property.

From what we know from leaks, Wicked Witch, Daffy, Joker, Raven, Marceline and BeetleJuice seem to be the ones who will come with the relaunch, which makes sense.

Judging from this past year, I would also expect Aquaman, Flash, Willy Wonka and Scorpion to join.

There are a lot more characters I've thought of as well, like both Master Shake and Meatwad from Aqua Teen. Even Samurai Jack, the Powerpuff Girls, Dr. Manhattan, Tony Soprano, Larry David, Sub-Zero and Scorpion, the Robot Chicken, and Pim and Charlie are also my wanted picks

This right off the heels of shutting down all the Adult Swim games from the marketplace. Delisting and quite possibly removing them from libraries.

They already removed a cop car in Velma's moveset because one Steam post was trolling and saying it was racist that his LeBron kept getting hit with it
And the game always had levelling up, buying crap and FOMO shit.

They need to add Walter White day 1 of the return to get people back.

Ben 10 is another highly requested character that they kept teasing and I hope gets in.

It would have been stupidly easy for them to just put some of the characters from Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion (CN Smash clone) in, the groundwork is all done.
 
My hopes are not high. I did enjoy the game, but they obviously got way too ahead of themselves on round one and couldn't provide what they were promising. While moving to UE5 is probably an improvement, I personally feel the time spent porting would of been better spent IMPROVING THE ACTUAL GAME. It's been delisted for well over a year now, and from the look of it literally NOTHING but the engine has changed, but hey, the graphics are prettier *finger guns* right?

I have a feeling this is falling flat on its face... again.

They really need a new marketing team. The marketing for this game has been abysmal since the initial launch.

There was some new. I think Harley has a new move, meaning they are changing old characters. The biggest thing though is that PowerPuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory are confirmed as we have Dexter's Lab and Townsville City Hall as stages.
 
Rebuilt the game in a new engine, improved netcode, and there’s a PvE mode.

There’s probably a few new characters/stages as well that’ll be revealed between now and the release of the game.

Hopefully they touch up on the models because current Wonder Woman looks worse than the beta version (I'd bet this is her "final version" because Zaslav wants that live service money asap). The two positives I can give this update are that they're adding stages and stuff from older shows like Dexter's Lab, and the devs didn't pull an All Stars 2 with the roster. I'm still avoiding this turd because of LeBum James.
 
It's hard to see but the air speed a lot slower. Note how Batman, a character who jumps very fast, barely moves foward. The first clip with Superman flying he's very slow and the fast fall isnt instant. The new attacks also all look like dash attacks, meaning there is probably an actual sprint and not just walking now.

I think they're trying to slow down the pace to make it more casual, because high level matches were extremely sweaty and duos would curbstomp you in less than a minute.

They also released a FAQ with a few interesting details


notable things include

1-All stuff you had before will return with your account

2-Stuff from battle passes will "not be limited and will be avaiable later eventually", making me thing battle pass shit will be thrown on lootboxes. And no, lootboxes are not mentioned anywhere but this is warner bros so i fear... It will happen.

3-You can actually get premium currency while f2p! wow i have an actual reason to grind now. (it's probably weekly missions or free battle pass, dont expect generosity)

Eh, they slowed down the footage in the initial trailers for the beta so you could see the animations, so they may be sowing the same thing here. There’s parts of the trailer that has the footage playing at the speed the beta was at.

But yes, the main concern is going to be, as Maximilian Dood said in his video, “the WBness of it all”.
