Warner Bros Multiversus - Another Fucking Smash Clone

I am optimistic about this title tbh. I like a good bulk of the characters listed since DC and Adventure Time are sort of childhood staples for me, and I cannot hate Scooby Doo or Looney Tunes. Plus, I have been wanting a CN Punch Time Explosion 2 for years since many icons were left out the first time, so this is probably the closest thing to it.

As for what the rest of the roster could be, that will be interesting to see…

Rumors prior to the leak suggested Mad Max, Fred Flinstone, Lebron James, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Johnny Bravo would join.

Personally, I really only care for Johnny in that leak, but I know Mad Max is a big one.

As for who I think will appear, I think it is good to look at franchises WB shills for in recent times:
  • Iron Giant - In Ready Player One and Space Jam 2
  • Beetle Juice - In LEGO Dimensions, got a musical, had crossovers with Teen Titans & Power Puff Girls.
  • Scorpion
  • Pennywise
  • Neo - Matrix was referenced in Space Jam 2 and LEGO Batman.
  • Power Puff Girls
  • Ben 10
  • Teen Titans - With the popularity of Go, one of the 5 is bound to appear.
  • Joker
  • Some CW DC character (Green Arrow, Flash, Super Girl, etc.)
  • Game of Thrones character
  • Sheldon Cooper - Bazinga!

Adventure Time was good though. It got convoluted during seasons 5 & 6, but the first 4 seasons were full of great episodes, and so were later seasons like 7. AT used to be a pretty respected property in the early 2010s, so it’s a shame that it seems like industry trends that spawned from it have tarnished its reputation. AT, Regular Show, and Gumball were sort of the prime trio of CN in the 2010s and I believe each earned their spots amongst the classics.

Also I did watch PPG and Dexter. Both are good, but I believe other CN shows, even in that time were better. Johnny Bravo is probably my favorite out of the initial 6, with Courage being a good second. I would also say that Foster’s, Chowder, Billy & Mandy, KND, and Flapjack are all classics amongst the CN owned comedy shows.
 
I mean, it can’t be much worse the Playstation All Stars - how did one game waste so much potential? - so while the bar is incredibly low, at least it won’t be the worst of the Smash clones.

That said, is this the new big trend, just cloning Smash? Let me know when Disney decides to make one of these…

Iron Giant maybe as part of a stage but don't see him being downsized
CW DC no way, the DC Characters in this have their own design
Game of Thrones, Arya Stark was leaked to be in it
Pennywise not sure if they have the game rights to Pennywise

My guesses for these games are if they go the safe root
Daffy Duck - weird to just to only Bugs
The Wicked Witch of The West - WB is always putting Oz stuff in crossovers
Beetle Juice - Another one always in crossovers and they don't have to pay for actors likeness
Powerpuff Girls - Not sure if they will be alt or be stand-alone
Gremlins - Another one which always in crossovers
Sloth from the Goonies - was in the Lego game and a series WB is always milking with merch
Dolores from Westworld - WB really should go into their backlog of movies to pick a western character, but a safe and boring pick would be Dolores from the still running Westworld tv show
Yogi Bear - Feel like they are giving him a push lately

I expect any characters they have to pay the actors likeness of to be DLC, and any character with an upcoming movie to not be in the base game such as Aquaman coming out in time for Aquaman 2.

I more so just meant the character, not specifically the CW version. Characters like Flash and Arrow got popular from the CW, and it is pretty obvious that WB selects DC characters based on movies and shows, see Injustice 2. I have a feeling that one of the DC characters with a CW show will get in, with my bets being placed on Flash, though Super Girl and Green Arrow would be just as likely.

This thought goes for DCEU and Teen Titans picks as well. The design may be unique, but the character was clearly picked because movie. This was likely why we have Harley with no Joker, since WB wants to shill Suicide Squad. I would not be surprised if we get Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, Shazam, Robin, etc. thanks to popular modern movie/show.

I agree with all of these. I think one we are both missing is Gumball. That show has resurrected Hannah Barbara for the sole purpose of producing more episodes.

Not sure why they would put someone from the Gumball Rally in it, The Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit were the better and more well-known movies. If they want to go for a racing character they always have Wacky Racers but that would be another cartoon character.

The Amazing World of Gumball on Cartoon Network is what I was referring to. It is soon to be getting a movie and new seasons developed by Hannah Barbara.
