Yeah, but my issue wasnt with how he plays. I just dont like him as a person, as a basket ball player and reminding people of Space Jam 2's existence is kind of a big mistake in my book.
There are many other characters that can take his slot but no, we get this niggah. And its clear WB is trying to appeal either to sport fans or niggers (they crossover a lot but I digress). Because the only way that a fan of WB/CN would know who Lebron is without being a sport fan is if they watched Space Jam 2 (an awful movie). Honestly, Micheal Jordan would have been better because at least you can throw the argument he is more generally known outside of sport circles AND Space Jam 1 is remembered way more foundly by the rest of the world (mostly nostagia since the movie was peak 90's and we all miss it but still).

In other words, it's like when Sony added DMC Dante instead of OG Dante in their smash clone, which Sony got ridiculed for.
Companies these days don't know how to read the room and realise shoving character X in people's faces is not going to appease the fans and make them like the character more when they really want characters Y and Z which represent the brand better and are fan favorites.

Batman has a TAS skin right now.
And I’m guessing we couldn’t get Micheal Jorden in the game because he didn’t want to give his likeness. The Lebron thing was probably set up before the movie came out and completely bombed.

Dont let all of this distract you from the fact that the MLP fan game had better netcode than most fighting games at the time.

That’s because it was made by fighting game fans who know how bad netcode is outside of Japan.

Altho Im sure wont happen, but if they added an Injustice Superman skin, I would love if his reaction to Harley Quinn would be "Im going to enjoy this...a LOT", "You are all thats left of the Joker for me to get rid of!", "You are no different than your rabid dog of a dead psycho boyfriend".
His winning quotes would probably be "Dont worry, Harley, I have 'ways' to fix you" (referencing his Injustice 2 ending), "Sick people like you have only one cure. Me", "Look on the bright side, you will together with the Joker VERY soon..."
Maybe with Bruce would be something like "Seems like Bruce ran out of new tricks, throwing another alternative of himself at me", "Any Batman will do at this point for me." or maybe to quote Injustice 2 "Give up, Bruce, you CANT win!"
With his regular self, it would probably be "The difference between you and me is that I DONT hold back...not after what it cost me", "No! This has happened before! I WONT LET YOU BEAT ME THIS TIME!", "You still have something to lose. I dont!"
Lets face it, we all would love to kick Harley's ass and with Injustice Superman of all characters.

I believe his two current costumes are Black Lantern Superman and Millions Superman.
EDIT: fully completed the battle pass. Pretty good amount of stuff for $3, and not a horrible grind either. I still have a seasonal milestone I haven’t hit yet that would have given me 600 BP xp.

Played this game since yesterday and it's surprisingly addicting. it probably helps that the netcode is good and matches are short and frequent so losing isnt a big deal.
+The game is actually dubbed in portuguese with the original VAs for the most part (some died or retired, a few had scandals) and that already makes it more fun than every smash clone and argueably even smash. Tom's death screen cracks me up every single time.
+other than meme shaggy, everyone has very unique and fitting movesets, with some huge standouts. Tom & Jerry's playstyle is so genius and well animated, it makes rosalina look pathetic and cheap.
-Some characters kinda have "too much" going on and it's easy to forget half your moveset. I fought a ton of finns and not a single one used BMO and only a few used the shop since everyone spams backpack anyway. I dont get why finn has a coin system when the game wants you to unga bunga hard with him.
-It's missing a lot of features yet, like customizable bot difficulty and even basic quality of life stuff like cool down durations. The move list doesnt explain CDs either so you have to guess.
Balancewise i'd say
Scrub killer: Finn, Taz, Superman, Giant, Shaggy have strong spamable attacks that can carry even the worst players
High iq monster: Harley, Bugs, Lebron, Velma, these characters take brain to use but will fuck you up with spam
Kinda bad?: Batman, wonder woman and Garnet, it feels like they dont have any "cheap" strat so you gotta tryhard if you want to kill someone with them
Havent seen much: T&J, Arya, steven and Reindog which is funny since reindog is free but its a shitty oc so no one even bothers.
Game looks ok so far but i fear how the competitiveness might harm it on the long run. The game is on version 0.1 and it's going to be on EVO so they gonna push pro play like hell which will harm the casual play. If you go on reddit (dont) you'll see how people are already crying for Finn nerfs so expect him to be murdered next patch.

I tried Reindog today since I was bored of the other free roster characters and found him to be kinda fun. His projectiles make up for his hilariously stubby normals.

Honestly, I typically find the gameplay of the clones more fun. Multiversus is very floaty, but there is a fun to be had with it, and Nick All-Stars has a certain umph to the attacks I feel Smash lacks in Ultimate and Wii U. With Smash, I enjoy side content as the main game gets stale for me, while I really enjoy the fighting in the clones.

Reindog is good for his projectiles and because he’s really hard to read, as a lot of his attacks have him curl up so you don’t know which way an attack is coming.

It’s funny that of the three characters I unlocked and focused on in the closed beta ended up being the ones that start out free. It did get me to try playing as Bugs and Reindog though to mix it up, so I at least have a character I’m okay with for all types.
Definitely never gonna go into ranked stuff though once it opens, because I know I’m not gonna be super amazing at it or anything.

I already hate the community. It's the same problems that plagued LoL. They bitch and moan at every little thing.
I hope the devs don't give in and nerf the FotM character every week Reddit complains. It will ruin the game.

Finn should be safe. Assassin class takes increased damage compared to the other classes, so I can’t imagine he’d be nerfed all that much. Only reason it’s being complained about is because he’s one of the free ones, so more people are playing him.

I find it funny that Warner gladly allowed The Iron Giant to be a flop (given the insulting lack of marketing, showing they had no faith in the project)
And yet now with things like Ready Player One, Space Jam 2 and Multiversus, they will gladly show him off as if he is some beloved Warner property now. No, Warner, we know that you are doing it because of the huge cult following that this movie got in the last 2 decades.
Hopefully they dont get any ideas on making a sequel, the book has a sequel but the original does end perfectly for me, leaving just enough for the audience to speculate.
