You've realized how they introduced 2 new currencies (circuit drones and medals), right?
I've been thinking; as a new player, this game must be a bitch to get in. You want to do events? You have to unlock a character and then you get to unlock a random skin drop from the event to a random character which you may of may not have. No freebies, you gotta work for that shit, boye! Each pack of skins costs 1000g, or 500g for single skin (500g is $4), characters cost $10 EACH... Can you even do anything in this game without a $500 investment? Again, no freebies unless you grind or pay. Skins are really ugly to; be it a shirt or a recolor.
It's not bots/people throwing matches. It's disconnects; when you dc, the game remembers your last input direction and your character just walks in that direction.
Shit servers PLUS no disconnect detection/pause/catchup feature PLUS shitty netcode/poor optimization EQUALS a really shit multiplayer engine.
I've been getting it too, especially as of late.
No, there are definitely throwers and afk players. I dont have recording but i played a lot this weekend and i noticed two things that happened often enough to be not be a coincidence
-In 2v2, if players actually decide to wait or do a fair 1v1, the "disconnected" player will suddendly start moving and throw a few punches before standing still again.
-In Free for all i've seen multiple players don't attack at all and simply walk into a punch and proceed to suicide so the match ends faster. I played 4 matches in a row against a bugs that did this.
Throwing is also a legit "farming strategy" because if you lose dozens of times in a row the game will force you into a bot match and the bots will rematch you forever letting you farm pvp wins against them.
They need to put a griefer penalty in the game but they know the servers are too bad to enforce it as its impossible to tell if someone is AFK/throwing or disconnected.
