Do shields really come out at a 15 frame delay? Then it adds shields MID SEASON without warning and they're clearly not balanced nor the characters around them

What is even the point if most jabs and aerials can hit you before your shield is up?
At this point I'm hoping they will re-release as a standalone title. They have plenty of content. Remove the live service shit, etc.
Another one from WB as well. Suicide Squad may join it shortly. If Hogwarts Legacy turns into a live service...
That's what bothers me.I admit i had (a little) fun while it lasted. Rest in peace again multiversus.
That's what bothers me.
MVs was genuinely good. Ot was genuinely fun at both low and high levels. It's not the gameplay that killed it... Or the genre.
It's greed. AAA micro transactions and the need2grind.
On the one hand, I'm sad and very disappointed. MultiVersus when the "open beta" launched was genuinely very fun, being one of the rare fighting games I actually enjoyed playing. The character crossovers were charming with a childlike whimsy that made it the cherry on top.
My only interaction with this game came from seeing people praising a lot of the design choices and character gimmicks. If the Beetlejuice player character that I watched a video about is anything to go by, it seems like there were some genuinely passionate, creative people working on this game. Hope that eventually they’ll be able to put their passion into something where their talents won’t be bogged down by all the regular live service bsYeah, it was unbalanced at times but it was genuinely fun to play and had the most unique characters in any platform fighter i ever seen. Tom and Jerry have the most brilliant kit and animations i ever seen in a platform fighter if not in all fighting games.
I blame the design/higher-ups on the failure, not the devs. People who made the gameplay were genuinely talented. People who designed the characters were dedicated, and made unique move kits and snuck in little references. This game will go down to history as having one of the most incompetent dev teams of all time. How do you manage to release a game, fail, then claim it was a beta all along, shut down the servers for a whole ass year to do whatever the fuck they claim, rerelease it AND still fail to do any improvements whatsoever. What a shitshow.
I hope they strip the live services BS and let you play locally and bring back mods... The only way this game can still live imo.So if I have the game in my Steam library will it still be available after May 30th, or do I need it physically present on my hard drive to keep it?
The Devs made some boneheaded decisions. The original game had a little charm with the old layout, but when it came back the ui looked like a soulless Fornite ripoff. Nobody wanted Black Wonder Woman as a character, and to remove someone like Iron Giant for a while because you're incompetent to balance and run your own fucking game tells you something. Screw the Devs. That's what bothers me.

Fun gameplay really helps too. It's even better when it doesn't look like woke ass.Marvel Rivals released with all characters avaiable and it's a massive sucess. It's almost like you need people playing your game to keep it alive and when they play for fun instead of unlocks they recommend it to their friends!
Suicide Squad is shutting down. Woke Kombat 1 is on life support, and Maximilliandood is doing everything to keep it alive.Another one from WB as well. Suicide Squad may join it shortly. If Hogwarts Legacy turns into a live service...
