But this is idiocy. It's often actually excising content from the thread and deleting Tweets from the cow that aren't archived elsewhere. The exile of posts from @Peace and Harmony in particular is egregious. Whatever mod is doing this is autistic as fuck.

There's been a long tradition of doing that for threads that get hijacked by an autist and people arguing with that autist, but it's definitely a change with this one to some kind of weird "you are not allowed to disagree with the cow in a post where you are quoting that cow" rule. That doesn't exist, never has existed, and I hope this particular thread is an aberration and not a new rule.

If trimming out posts that "pretended to talk to the person" went site-wide then basically every thread about every topic would need an offshoot thread to 'catch' all the posts that fell under that. That's actually really weird and I wonder why it happened in the first place.

Its not even that autistic if you are doing it as a style or rhetoric trick. Sometimes its just easier to address someone in the first person when replying or commenting on their posts, even if they will never read it.

Also if mocking a thread subject's political views is against the rules then we need to delete half the posts in the internet famous board. I mean I get it, when some sperg is calling out a cow and you hate the spergs points as much as you hate the cow it can be annoying, but this forum isn't anyone's personal hugbox. If someone's opinions or how they express it annoys you, call them a faggot don't go on some power trip deleting their posts, banning them, removing useful archival info from the thread, ect.
