Web Animation - Amazing, Cringe-worthy, Whatever

I find it amusing how EmperorLemon complained several years ago about Youtube's new algorithm driving animation off the internet, and here we are today with web animation being the best source for western cartoons and Newgrounds experiencing a renaissance.

Maybe it was true at the time. Since animations received a really bad favor from the algorithm and the only thing that worked was those commentary animators that could pump videos out more easily. It's not a static thing.

I don't remember details but I remember that to be true; a lot of web animators quit youtube because people wouldn't see their videos; they wouldn't pop into their feed and the algorithm would prioritize game content and trashy shorts.
 
An animation (or perhaps more accurately animatic) series I've enjoyed throughout the years has been from a channel called technical dave
recounting his art school stories, its a series he's been putting out off and on for over a decade and is sorely underappreciated, imo. Alongside being generally entertaining, the setting (college years + the early aughts) evokes a strong sense of nostalgia. Here's a more recent episode as well:

I think people are too harsh on DigitalCircus because the creator is a degenerate troon sexpest.

Skibidi creator is a vatnig subhuman filth and you don't see that bleed into his work.

I tried watching DigitalCircus, quit after episode 2 since it wasn't for me, the thing pisses me off is people comparing DigitalCircus to other web series or even animated series, I get animation wise to some extend, but story wise? Nigga we're in episode 3, we don't know if the story get better or worse.

As for Skibidi, I can't watch it, looks to stupid for me to try it out.
