Youtube -- not inherently bad, but appropriated by grifters and very selectively censorious.
I fucking wish the "don't recommend channel" option actually did its function. Oh,
sure, for a little while it disappears from recommendations... only to show right back up at a later date.
Also, the comments are gimped, in the sense that you may finish a comment and send it out - only to reopen the comment section in incognito mode and see that the comment is
gone. Often even without any naughty words whatsoever.
This shit does nothing to stop the spammers that are fagging up the comment sections with their links to the latest crypto scam, but we now have to walk on eggshels, with comment visibility now being a game of chance.
I'd say early 2010s was when YouTube was at its best - that's when technology progressed enough to allow for HD, FullHD and even 4K videos and livestreams, but before the
enshittification kicked in. I'd say 2013, when Jewgle forcibly tied YT's comment section to Google+, as well as your real data (and also breaking the comment dislike button - and never ever fixing it), was the beginning of the end - and a sure sign of what was to come.
