You often don't ask for kiss consent, most relationships I have ever had I never was asked to kiss. It was kinda thing that just happened. It's implied that you are consenting if you are going to a man's hotel room and don't even bother to move back or away.

Also, anyone with half a brain knows what's gonna happen if you go to a man's hotel room vaguely asking to show you something. Even if it did happen, Monica is obviously playing stupid with not knowing why he would ask her there

There's only one situation where women in my life have told me about times they would just "go along" with even semi-sexual situations that they weren't actually interested in. And that's when they were very aware of the fact that they were, in fact, being a tease to get something out of the guy, and they'd gone too far and didn't know how to back out without coming off like a massive gold-digging bitch.

Bitch, this is what he does! His show is explaining the legal process to the average Joe in a way that makes sense. Sure he always says he doesn’t give legal advice, but I think he’s said that law students can pick up something. Sure he might be a showman because he’s got feelings toward the case beyond a legal capacity, but his analysis is on point all around, and his rage is mostly at actual malice and/or idiocy. He’s even said he’s pulling no punches for anybody.

TCPA already dropped. There's a hearing scheduled for August 8th. Once the hearing is concluded the judge has up to 30 days to rule on the motion.

If it passes, Funimation is out of the lawsuit.

If it fails, Funimation is still in and is probably looking at trial.

Discovery is frozen during the TCPA, except for discovery that directly relates to the TCPA itself.

Didn’t Funimation give something to Ty that resulted in Ty giving a “I look forward to working with you”? Not sure if they flip and testify against the VAs, but the fact that they’ve been pretty quiet may work for them.

I remember during the campus rape days of the Obama Administration that we’d be seeing shit like “yes means yes” and that you’d have to ask for consent for every part of sexual intercourse. I don't think the act itself is so much the issue as doing it to a co-worker. Obviously, context matters a great deal here, but I think there are a lot of workplaces where doing something like that would at least be frowned upon if not considered outright inappropriate. Then again, these are people who were on the anime con scene during the days of yaoi paddles and "Glomp me" signs, so I don't really know what would be considered inappropriate in that environment.

At the very least though, I think Marchi's attorney is going to argue it's definitely inappropriate to do to a co-worker. Which, as an argument...I don't know; maybe it'll work? I'm not sure if anyone will buy that her response was appropriate even if they think his actions were inappropriate, but it at least doesn't seem to be as brain-dead as Ronica's strategy.

I think Funhaus only joined RT because of the Fullscreen buyout of them. They did a few crossovers, but have been estranged from the rest of RT for a long while. Which is probably why they haven't drank the SJW koolaid yet.
