I think most of us can agree to that, but I'm not sure you can lump Ron into that because he's shown a pattern of this behavior. It's not a "regular people sometimes say horrific things when they're upset" when it's not a "sometimes". Most domestic abuse is a pattern of behaviour. It's almost never one cowering victim and one abusive sadist, it's usually two garbage people actively campaigning to hurt each other because they can't deal with their emotions in a healthy way and act out like idiot vindictive children. He threatened to kill judges and dogs and hit her once with a TV remote, and from what Monica's said on the subject it seems likely the abuse went both ways. This is the Jim Belushi of abusive relationships, it's generic, it's mundane, and now that they're away from each other it's ultimately not a big deal, yet people here are comparing him to serial killers because he disagrees with them about anime.

It's as embarrassing as the people calling Vic a pedophile for eating jellybeans.

I agree with Dynastia in that wife beating and domestic threats aren't uncommon and Toye is hardly the most evil guy alive because of it. However it really shows just how much of a hypocrite he and Rial are, not to mention comparing actual domestic abuse to Vic eating a jellybean is downright stupid.

Besides, I think that the more interesting part is that he threatened a judge and the judge's kids. He was already an angry, spiteful idiot but threatening a judges family makes him an angry, spiteful idiot who has zero respect for the legal system or the people who work in it.

I'd get fired and possibly eat a terroristic threats charge and probably cop a good behaviour bond and court ordered therapy, and then seven years later nobody would care about it because it's not really that big of a deal and people understand that everyone is potentially one bad day and one terrible decision away from doing that.

There's all different types of abuse but making some fear for their safety is absolutely at the end of the spectrum and should honestly be treated seriously.

It's one thing to say it inline, which is where I'm assuming you have most of your interactions with real life people, but someone you live with is completely different.

I think his point is that its common, and his criticism is that some people are getting selectively and overly outraged about Ron just because he's on 'the kickvic side.'
