The Great Green Blanket is a cult of cannibalistic anprim paleovegan ecoterrorists in Oregon and NorCal, originating in Portland. They rationalize that humanity at large has adopted an anthropocentric worldview that voluntarily distinguishes ourselves from animals, thus doing harm to humans does not violate the principles of veganism; however, since they adhere to a paleo diet, they can only eat people who also adhere to a paleo diet, since things like artificial sweeteners and preservatives find their way into the meat. Drinking diet cola or other drinks with aspartame is an effective way to ward them off because they're so emaciated that they can literally smell it on you and leave you alone, and I wouldn't recommend anybody wander the wastes of California without at least a sixer. Just be sure to double check the labels; Stevia is natural and it won't save you.
So, Vegan Vampire Zombies, basically?

Ive lost 10 pounds in the last 6 weeks and so far the only person to mention it is a guy at work. I dont know how I feel about that.

272 > 262.

Honestly hasnt been that hard. Reducing soda intake(code red is my kryptonite, i will go to my death bed drinking it) along with drastically reducing sweets/chocolate has done most of the work for me. Once you get in the habit of only drinking one can of soda, not eating ice cream etc. its like you wherent eating/craving it in the first place.

Hardest part has been the time it takes to realize the gains. Only now are my shirts feeling looser, having to tighten my belt another notch. I think thats where a lot of people have problems losing weight. It can take a few weeks to see a few pounds drop and more to actually get see the tangible result.

At that weight and that rate of weight loss, it's not big enough of a difference for most people to notice. They will when you get closer to 220 (and so will you). You could also be losing more in a month and a half. The healthy hard-working maximum from fat to skinny is -20lbs per month. But this is hard comes right up to the line potentially causing damage. If you can drop 15lbs a month, you're doing perfect but anywhere between 10-15 is good enough. So basically 2-4lbs per week.

As always, the answer is the same. Be honest about how much you're actually working out and what you're actually eating. Cheat days only cheat yourself. Minimize sugar and everything processed. Make sure to do cardio (run/swim) 6 days/week and weights 3-5 days/week. Ignore the bodybuilding nuts and UFC/Rogan fans and make sure you're as consistently physically active as reasonabye possible. Stamina & Endurance are more important in the real world than Strength & Speed. DOMS is a bad thing. Unless you're over 65 or using steroids or started at 500lbs, you're not going to have loose skin.

And make sure to remember the most horrible secret truth of the world:
You can win.

When/if I get down to 220 Im gonna be looking pretty damn good. While Im 262, I also have a good amount of muscle on me already due to consistently lifting 4-5 hours a week for the past 4 years now.

Its why I havent cut regular food out all that much, still trying to hit 150-200 grams of protein a day. Actual food hasnt been much of a problem though, as I very rarely eat processed/fast food before now. Now that its not scorching hot though I have been able to up the activity level, going hiking once a week in addition to the walks I do.

My immediate and future biohacking plans may need adjustment.

End of the year.

No longer overweight, but only halfway to goal weight. I could have hit the goal this year, but maintaining the first six months' loss is going to have to be the cope victory of 2024. I nearly doubled my activity over the course of this year, my joints feel better, and I don't seem to get sick as often. We take those.

Generally people are less food-pushy from resolution season into bathing suit season, so we'll see if we can oust those other 20 lbs. I've got some good maintenance practice at this point.

My goal weight is around 180 - 200 lbs and I may likely get to that in a few months.

Don't throw it away. Free McDonald's breakfast is where its at. Just don't eat the rest of their menu
Yeah their breakfast is pretty good overall. I thought about using it on my birthday, but at the same time it makes me feel guilty as hell.

I got a $30 McDonald’s card for Christmas from my Grandma. I’m thinking about throwing it away. Getting any sort of food gift card or food as a gift fucking sucks.
A sausage burrito and a hashbrown will be around 450 calories for roughly $7. If you know you're going to have a light lunch/dinner that day, I don't think it's that bad. $7 once a week for a month will use up the gift card.

According to a ton of people I talked to on myfitnesspal forums the big mac has perfect macros. What gets people is the fries and a soda.
The explanation I heard the McDouble is literally almost identical to a protien shake in burger form. The Big Mac... that sauce I feel is probably pretty sugary?

if it really is just thousand island dressing then it's probably roughly 2, maybe 3, grams of carbs per 2 tablespoons. Most savory salad dressings dont really have that much sugar per serving. You get more carbs in the bread than you do in salad dressing.

The ratios they were using were just percentage breakdowns of carbs, fat, and protein. I don't remember what they were, I want to say 40% carbs, 10% fat, 30% protein.
