Going cold turkey is generally a bad idea. But at the same time, one must avoid the natural tendency to avoid change.

Myself, I switched from sugary soda to Coke Zero, which I can get in flats from Costco at a decent price. Coffee is good too but I admittedly use too much sugary creamer.
 
This is what helped me kick the soda - I had a friend who referred to regular sodas as "liquid candy" and asked if I ate candy every day and I said no, of course not. So, they asked why would I drink candy every day? I switched to diet then eventually switched to water and tea only. If I have a hankering for something carbonated, I do like those flavored sparkling waters. Hope this helps! :feels:
 
I mean but yeah water if you have a craving for something take a sip of water it really does help. With weight loss or craving nicotine and like I said earlier nicotine stays in your system for 16 days after your last puff on your cigarette. Water helps with that should help with sugary drinks.

Have you looked into stuff like Coke zero though or Dr Pepper Zero? Dr pepper tastes really sweet if that's what's keeping you on soda. Tastes so sweet that I almost couldn't finish when I haven't had sugar in so long.

I just didn't want to harp on again about water you know? It is so so so so important.

How far would you guys travel for a gym?

In my case, I've been dieting which is alright. I lose about 2 pounds a week fasting, but my general concern is that because I work from home and its an office job, that I don't get enough physical activity. I discovered in the least year I really enjoy indoor rock climbing, and there's a really sick bouldering gym a few towns over. So I figure once a week I could drive an hour and a half to get there, stay for three or four hours and come home.

Issue is I'm just being a bitch and being unmotivated to make the drive. For you guys personally would you be willing to make that drive weekly or would you try to find something else closer?

I have like 4 gyms at walking distance from my house and I go to none of them because the few times I tried I hated the looks people give me and the friends I have who stuck with it didn't lose a kg nor gained any muscles. I'm pretty sure gyms in my area are just scams and places for normies to socialize.

But to answer your question, I think anything within a 20 minute walk would be acceptable for me.

If you have the money, you can get a height adjustable desk or one of those stands that sit on the desk if you want something cheaper and a walking pad.

The dumb bitch took someone elses Ozempic and then was surprised she was having a reaction. Like, I get that some people think GLPs are bad, and sure, maybe they are. But posting a video where a lady is given spare Ozempic from a friend, who was probably on the Maximum dose by the time she stopped, who then had medical issues from a drug she wasn't prescribed, is dumb.

IDK about most people but the program I'm in has me monitored constantly by someone online while I'm taking Zepbound, I'm supposed to report any symptoms I have and they will pull the plug immediately if I react badly to them.

She was a dumb bitch and took a medicine that wasn't prescribed to her in a dose her body wasn't supposed to have.

Like even the doctor in this video points out that a lot of the issues she was having were rare and not something a lot of people have.

It might just be because I am not nearly fat enough to be so desperate as to resort to ozempic, but I still see it as a deal with the devil. I had a friend who, in order to lose weight, took some drug which made his heart race like crazy which in turn boosted his metabolism to hell. Unhealthy for sure, but in the long term it seems better than ozempic to me, since you won't have to take it for your whole life and it won't fuck with your insulin sensitivity.

Anyway, my update is that I broke the 85 kgs barrier, so I am 1/6th of the way through my plan

I am very much of the opinion that you should only take Ozempic or GLP1's if you're diabetic or prediabetic. I'm prediabetic and don't want to be diabetic, and I was 425 when I started it, so I very much needed to be on it to prevent myself from slipping into Diabetes. I didn't have the mental control to diet and my doctor pointed out that if I didn't get control of my eating within the year I'd probably be 500 pounds.

So I do agree that someone who's just fat shouldn't be on it, but sometimes there are reasons to get on it.
 
So as part of the program I'm on with my GLP-1, I have to cut down on carbs, which hasn't been too hard since I'm not all that hungry because of the medicine.

But there have been instances where I've been craving some chips but don't want to eat Pork Rinds, since I can't stand them.

So I found these things while walking around at work, it's low carb and made from chicken breasts which I'm enjoying a lot more than pork.

I do not have that money. For about 8-9 months out of the year I do go on two, mile long walks a day though.

Getting an Australian Shepard was the best thing I've done for my health in a long time.

How have these tasted?
 
Any greasiness to them? That's my only complaint with pork rinds - biting into a soft one that just oozes oil in your mouth.
