Accessory day today. I need to replace the cables on the cable machine I brought home but so far its been nice to use.

I'm debating starting to use a macro tracker of some sort to eat enough. I've always been bad about eating enough during the day.

Just do it, at least start using one for a set period and log whatever you do eat, so you can get a clear idea of what you're taking in and where you can change things and improve. I use and recommend Cronometer.
 
start with scapular retraction, then with pullwing your elbows to your torso. See video
good video, applied some stuff to my erg rowing to target upper back more and i was feeling it
when i was focusing on form more my stroke rate dropped but my power output stayed about the same or higher, i'll need to lock in and focus on form more going forward

honestly what ever Lyle posts is great
he might be a bit of a shitlib redditor normie or whatever, but his lifting advice is solid. Plus he has six million years in the field and has gained tons of enemies from critiquing the top dogs in the industry

Let me state I DO NOT plan on doing this. But I'm interested learning interactions and all.

If someone took Ozempic or a GL1p or what ever it's called, and lifted hard..... but also took gear. From mild like Dbol to Tren. (would this matter?)

Just want to learn and No I kinda like to beat my liver with good scotch not gonna mix those. I just want to learn.

Steroids will already burn bodyfat while building muscle, the glp-1 will just kill your appetite. The effect would likely just be worse than if you only took steroids and lifted hard.

Retatrutide+whatever steroids is the meta for cutting in bodybuilding right now. Very little muscle loss when cutting due to its glucagon component. If you're new to lifting or significantly overweight or not already on steroids you will make tons of gains on both

I have been adding cardio into my workouts with stairs and jogging recently and I love it. This week I upped it to 5000 steps on the stair machine and 15 miles to run. I need to lose about 10 more pounds before I add sprints into a day for workouts
 
Due in part to some fucking faggot locking all the changing room doors somehow my deload week has gone on four days longer than I intended so I will be attempting suicide shortly. If I don't come back, tell your mom I love her.

The rice bucket training protocol is great because it's both forearm training and meal prep, with each rep you are marinating the rice with your sweat, thus making it more flavorful and making it easier to hit your caloric surplus thanks to having tasty food. Also, if your roided friend uses it, it's gonna absord part of the PEDs that were in his sweat, making the food both more flavorful and anabolic.

Also, I'm learning more and more of calisthenics because I train with bodyweight when I'm out and about, it is very convenient to use bodyweight if you are in situations when you are outside and have free time to lift.

Is it worth it to get a home gym set up if you're an intermediate/beginner? Also how much would it cost generally speaking? How much space would you need to set aside for it?

This really depends what kind of home gym you want.

In terms of space, if you're investing in a rack to do barbell stuff in, you would need at least something like 9x6 feet. An olympic bar is like 7 feet but you want some room on the sides so you can load plates. Plus all the space for storing plates. Some racks come with pins for holding plates.
Price would depend on where you're from. I got my stuff many years ago so I have no idea what things cost nowadays. Way way more I imagine. But with weights, you can just try to get em second hand, not like the iron gets less heavy with time.

EDIT: You know what, I failed to mention this but if you get a rack, first make sure you have enough space vertically. You'd probably want at least 9-10 feet to make sure you can safely OHP without breaking through the ceiling. Or if it has pull-up bars attached to it like some racks do, you want to make sure you don't slam your head through the ceiling while doing pull ups. Basically, make sure you have enough clearance around the rack to actually lift, DO NOT end up like this 4chan anon in pic below

If you want one of those fancy multifunctional machines you can do various exercises in, it's probably the same in terms of space.

If you want an erg rower, that's something like 7x3 feet. Price for this would be up to 1k - 1.5k depending on taxes and model. You can find cheaper chinesium models for a few hundred buck too I'm sure, but idk how well they'd fare in terms of wear and tear if you actually use it seriously. If you're actually buying it to use it for many years to come, I'd say it's worth getting some reputable brand when it comes to rowers. They should be more durable and you should be able to easily find replacement parts if anything does break. With cheaper models, I guess if they break you're supposed to throw it out and get a new one, or maybe jerry rig it somehow?

A treadmill would be roughly the same in size but wider. A stationary bike would be smaller.

I'd say the worth depends on your goals, free space and financial situation. In the long run, if you have the space and money for it it's definitely convenient considering the travel time plus gas and gym membership costs.
But if this is not something you see yourself regularly doing in a few years, it's probably not worth setting up a home gym for it.

Personally, I'm a big fan of rowers and I would recommend one to everyone, but you should probably check em out at a gym first before committing to getting one at home.

Gym equipment is pretty expensive. Homegrownlifting.com has some good deals on bumper plates. If you can buy around a holiday you can get them for about $1 a pound which is far cheaper than most. A good rack will cost you anywhere from $400 for the cheapest to thousands and thousands for fancier options. Good bars start at generally around $180 and can go up much higher especially for specialty bars like deadlift bars. Dumbbells are expensive as all hell. Adjustable dumbbells are the only way to go for home gym use. Assuming you're a man you'll probably want ones that go to at least 100lbs. That means dropping at least $800-1000 bucks which is far cheaper than a set of regular dumbbells actually. If you're ordering this instead of picking it up add a bajillion dollars for shipping because it's heavy.

You can find some decent stuff on facebook marketplace or craigslist or whatever but it gets snapped up fast when it's a good deal. Most people are trying to sell stuff for way more than it's worth but if you're patient you can build something good.
 
Fellow iron lovers, have I already posted about active recovery days?

If not, I recommend you implement an active recovery day into your program. I run one on my 4th day (Thursdays for me) and it's been excellent in helping me feel much better and recovery more efficiently.

You don't need to do this if you're not hitting it pretty damn hard as is. If you're really pushing yourselves, active recovery days, massages, and mobility work pay dividends. Keep lifting, bros. We're all gonna make it.
