As someone mentioned it would be very interesting if the doctor gave her Alli. She's already tried Phentermine and Wellbutrin so I don't think anything else will work..except, you know that therapist the doctor never referred to Amber.

AL wouldn't shell out for the Rx strength of Alli (Xenical). It's $600 a month sans insurance and most insurances won't even cover it now since there's an OTC version available. Even if the doc said to double up on Alli (which would equal the dosage of Xenical), she still wouldn't pay (around $120 a month), especially since it's not available at Walmart. That's journal money, y'all.

Track records show AL wouldn't change her diet/binge eating while on Alli. That means oil shits and a leaky asshole. Hambeast wouldn't even last a whole day. Poor Becky would be wiping her ass every 5 minutes.

Could we all chip in and get AL a comb for Christmas? Her bald spot/matted area here (not sure which it is) drives me nuts. When you put your hair up, for god's sake use a comb or a brush to straighten your hair/smooth it out. The worst part is it stays like this for days. She spends half her life preening and puckering up for a camera or mirror. Do you really mean to tell me she can't see this?

It's not a legit bald spot, that's just what happens when your hair is dirty and you pull it back. It gets stringy-looking because the greasy hairs want to cling to each other. Best of luck getting her to bathe.

Now obesity is a crisis in most western nations, laws should change such that if you reach a certain BMI, the doctor has the right/obligation to keep you in hospital until you lose weight.

Morbidly obese patients cost a fortune to a hospital. Everything from bedpans to beds has to be reinforced and cost more to make/buy. I don't see such a law passing anywhere. Not in countries with universal health care because it would be too expensive, nor in the US because...well, it's one of the nations with the highest number of obese and morbidly obese people on the planet, health care is private and there is the whole big government thing.

I'm with @pickleniggo on this one. I suspect Amber is hoping to lose some weight to get back on track with her uploading. Meaning: it's never going to happen, or, if she loses enough viewer$$$, she'll come out with another "things I lied about" video where she admits her weight is 550lb (it will be a lie).

It disturbs me that while someone who is anorexic and under a certain weight can be kept inpatient for their health, the doctors are legally allowed to let AL waddle away. Now obesity is a crisis in most western nations, laws should change such that if you reach a certain BMI, the doctor has the right/obligation to keep you in hospital until you lose weight.

Anorexics can only be kept if they've been involuntarily institutionalized as a mental patient, which almost never happens to adults. They're only kept for their weight if they are incapacitated to the point that they can't refuse medical services. At least that's how it is in the land of the free, where you can kill yourself any dumbass way you like.

Anyway, I think she will be on the prescription strength Alli. It's like bulimia, but for your asshole. I hope the box has a mail in rebate for Becky to get a nice new mop.

Probably a lipid profile to check her cholesterol, and a basic workup which will include her blood sugar (not the same as being tested for beetus but it's an indicator obvs)

Before they even get to discussing diet pills Amber might be put on three SCURRY PILLS straight away: blood pressure, cholesterol and synthroid

A1C level would be checked too (easiest/simplest test for diabetes). That number will probably be scary high.

Doc would be flexin' that med degree if a glucose tolerance test was ordered (AL's fupa screams insulin resistance!). But Hambeast would probably love doing that test, since she'd get to chug fizzy flavored corn syrup for a few hours.

AL should be so lucky that all those generics cost $4/month at Walmart.

Ah interesting, thx! There is also medication for blocking carbohydrates afaik. What a world we live in!
Of course any medication is wasted on AL. It should always be supporting a balanced diet, not replace it.

Not sure what fireworks cost in Kentucky, but where I am that would be over a thousand dollars worth, maybe two. And her dog must have been terrified, for hours. Bet she sat outside, eating the whole time.

Nobody anorexic can be kept inpatient unless they are a minor and a parent commits them, or they are adult and agree. Just look at Ashley or Eugenia. Besides, they have a mental illness, it’s not the same as just shoving food in your mouth 12 hours a day.

But even so, since 1/3 of the country is obese, who is going to pay for all these inpatient stays? I sure don’t want my tax dollars going towards somebody like Amber, who knows full well she shouldn’t be eating the way she is. She got herself into this disaster, she can get herself out of it. I also am not fond of the idea of the government deciding to take away your freedom using doctors. What next? People have the right to live their lives, just like we have the right to laugh while they do it.

Anyway...as soon as Amber finds out how much all the tests the doctor orders will cost, she’ll give up. Because she might droop a couple grand on fireworks, but she sure won’t when it comes to her health.

I agree that unless she has quietly picked up insurance somewhere those blood tests will cost a lot. Buuuut she might be taking advantage of a sliding scale clinic because she's a piece of shit who doesn't report her income. In that case it would be affordable or possibly free.
