Weird Dreams Thread

I've heard people online say that they've never had a dream where they're using a smartphone, and that that's weird given their prevalence these days. Just had a smartphone dream myself, wandering around some public park or zoo constantly fumbling and dropping the thing, getting progressively more smashed and cracked as the day went on but somehow still responsive.
I get that whenever I'm driving a car in a dream. I'm bumping it off every wall like something out GTA

The things I had only been thinking about as posibilities or other ways of things happening, happened really. I had seen the future. But not until the very end, barely close.

My ------- gained the ability to manifest himself inside of the ears of people by projecting some kind of audio psychometre inside the minds of people. It can be blocked out with significant effort, but the attack is continuous. I don't know how long it lasts, but it must be longer than I could hold out. His manifestation is of some metal alloy that bends itself into a sharp-edge blade-like protrusion object that propels itself forward out of the ear, killing the person from whom he appeared. He can manifest wherever and then remodel himself into his original human shape.

He wanted to acquire the person of a boy, I think and he killed everyone who got in his way in some facility. There were some chambers or pods, which prevented the psychometre attack from occurring. At some point I'm away from him, alone and I'm at civil surroundings in a normal apartment complex. I don't quite remember what happened, but eventually he tried to manifest in me, but I jumped off a building to kill myself before it happened. I felt it happening but then I woke up.

I had a recurring dream, that progressively added onto itself. It happened three times.

I would be something like a lackey or a hotel porter, pushing a tray for some reason. People around me would walk and I would continue pushing. The surrounding is something like a small South-Eastern European town with a sett for a main road and a typical pavement for pedestrians. I can see typical houses of the post-communist era on the one side and commie blocks on the other, with a fairly large square between me and the commie blocks. An usual quality was that it was clean.

The dream usually started around sundown and as I was walking with the tray, people and cars would move about, but eventually there would be nobody around. This twice happened, but I can't be sure what exactly happened the second time. I think at one point or another I felt extasis and could for a brief time see myself, though not clearly.

The third time was entirely from my POV from what I remember. This time as I walked past time moved amazingly quick until I was at a curve or juncture in which it immeddiately went from twilight into night. The roads were illuminated only by the lamp poles, I don't think there were lights from other buildings, I couldn't see them. I had passed a creature that looked like a dog from away, but upon close inspection appeared vaguely humanoid, but I was too scared to stare at it and rushed towards a pole with light.

I turned my head for a brief moment to see behind me the creature that was now beginning to stand upright on two legs and "fixing" a head-like apparatus it had on its back onto its shoulders. At this point I noticed I couldn't progress forward and what's more it was like I was being pulled in towards the creature. I turned back to act tough and face it, but I couldn't see nought the light from its eyes, save for vague silhouettes of hair or fur. I tried to stand my ground but lost to the fear immediately as it turned its full attention towards me. At the point before opening my eyes it felt like I was in its clutches completely.

I've never had the dream again.

When I'm driving in a dream, the brakes never seem to work and I end up backing into another object.

A couple of recent weird dreams.

I somehow discovered by chance and accident that a black colleague of mine was human trafficking young black children to work in sweatshops. I was shocked because of how respected he is in real life yet horrified and disgusted in the dream about his apparent double life. I was beside myself trying to figure out how to report him to authorities. Somehow, another person I knew had connections to the appropriate law enforcement agency, made a phone call, and a raid took place almost immediately thereafter. I got to see the guy hauled off by the feds along with the children he had recently abducted. The poor kids looked visibly shaken. I either thought to myself or shouted out, "The way you treat other black people is disgusting!" before I woke up.

In the other dream, I found myself living in a house where the bedroom was so small there was barely room for a bed and space to walk in or out. As I'm going to my room, some strange man is there. We're both giving other a "who the hell are you?" look when my mom appears out of nowhere to see what's going on. I said something to the effect of, "It's okay. It's just a dream." I turn back to the other guy and repeat, "It's just a dream," before I woke up.

I had a dream where my house was about to be engulfed in an orange tornado and I was oblivious to it. I was using my computer and was wondering why sand was being blasted into the vents of it, and I realized soon after that the tornado was already destroying my home and I had a really delayed reaction to it. When I tried to evacuate my home I opened my front door and found out it was flying around in the air and the outside was heavily tinted orange, and my reaction was "Oh... fuck." After I opened the door to see that, it instantly shut and I instinctively tried to minimize harm to myself by rolling because by my logic it was like a car was gonna hit me and I needed to roll over the windshield to prevent damage, and the house was flying in circles in the air. I hit my head on a railing and woke up.

Recently had a dream where I was some sort of serial killer and was always doing things just right enough to avoid capture – I always picked targets that were alone & whose deaths were unlikely to be investigated (like homeless people), killed them quickly and quietly, did my best to hide and/or destroy evidence, and so on and so forth. Even after law enforcement started catching on, I skillfully evaded them at every turn, managing some very narrow escapes and even sometimes killing a few officers along the way.
One particular moment I remember took place in some sort of empty building (it generally had the vibe of being an unfinished construction, but there were already lights installed that bathed everything in yellow light). I'm standing in the center point of a large room sort of shaped like an U on its side. There's a wooden counter in front of me that blocks off most of the way through, with only a small "gate" serving as a point of entry.
In front of me, there were three police officers, two male and one female, but I knew there were more in the building. They all had pistols, as did I. The first male, who was standing closest to me, had his gun pointed at me and was about ready to make an arrest, but as he was approaching, he happened to briefly glance at something on his side of the counter, and slightly lowered his gun. This was enough time for me to raise my own pistol and quickly shoot him in the head, before doing the same to his two colleagues, who couldn't draw their guns in time.
Then I turn around and move into a crouching position, my pistol aimed at the doorway that was behind and to the left of me all this time. A few more police officers in SWAT gear come running through the doorway one by one, but I'm positioned in such a way that they have to get closer to me before they can have a clear shot. This allows me to shoot into the eyeholes of their SWAT helmets and kill them one by one. There were three more in total.
Afterwards, I woke up.

I had a dream I was staying alone in a hotel somewhere and I put the TV on but as I flipped through the channels, the only thing on anywhere was Eddie Redmayne presenting a show about gardening. He apparently didn't know shit about gardening because he kept saying things that were blatantly wrong. I find him annoying at the best of times and I didn't have anything else to do so I was just hate watching his stupid show texting a couple of friends who were also hate watching it and we were like yeah fuck this idiot. Amazing the things my brain chooses to expend energy on.

This was about two months ago now but I had this weird dream where I was going shopping with a tranny and everyone was just clapping going "wow so brave" while the retard kept trying to grab me for some reason ??????

I'm reading what I sent a while ago on another thing and apparently I once dreamt my house was broken into, some alarm was going off and I poked 4 corpses? And another one where I was in some fucked up version of my room thinking a tsunami was going to happen, AND another one where the bottom plastic piece on my laptop was melting.

The house break in was not cool, what I do remember from it was that the alarm was loud and there was a red light. Woke up with a fun sweat because of it.

Tonight I had a weird dream in a 'perspective' I've never seen before. It's hard to describe. But it looked like I was painting/illustrating a story into a sketchbook while the story was told to me. And the pictures I've been illustrating started to move on their own. It all looked a bit like early 90s video game manuals and felt a bit like an old snes jrpg.

The story was about a hero who had to leave his village for unspecified reasons, and therefore doomed them. His absence brought pain and suffering. When he returned, he met an old acquaintance of his who understood his reasons but still had to send some of her underlings to attack him so nobody knew she was actually helping him return. She also said "they're going to kill you" repeatedly but the 'hero' had a completely nonchalant attitude about the whole thing.

I woke up IRL when the hero started to enter a dungeon/cellar. Which still bums me, I want to know the full story. :|

I had a dream in which I was stuck in some sort of VR video game. If you’ve ever seen one on YouTube or whatever the way things looked perspective wise was like that. Anyways, I was on board some type of train and initially I was completely alone. I wandered through this train, which seemed to be from the late 1800’s. As I explored through cupboards and bathrooms I finally heard what sounded like other people. I started freaking out because I knew they would find me eventually and I didn’t have a ticket or any sort of identification, so I figured I would get in trouble. I decided to bite the bullet and go and find the other people myself so as to explain myself. I found some guy who was clearly some sort of military man and tried to make small talk with him as not to appear suspicious but I could tell that he thought I was. You know those stories where someone is intoxicated and think they are acting normally but can tell they aren’t because of other people’s reactions? That’s pretty much what was going on. Eventually the man said he was going to report me as a stowaway and because I was acting weird but then a dialogue box popped up (kinda like a Bethesda game for reference) and I touched it to activate it, which I can tell confused the man because I was basically touching at nothing. The dialogue was some wordy spiel about me being a Navy veteran like he was and having got addicted to opium while in the service, and how he should have pity on me. Weirdly, the dialogue did not sound like my voice but the man didn’t really seem to notice.

Can’t really remember anything else from the dream.

If you have any knowledge regarding floating point precision errors, especially in Minecraft. You will have really fucked up dreams about them. I get a weird feeling every time I dream about floating point precision errors. I honestly have that feeling of not wanting to touch anything that appears glitched. Also fun fact that most people's knowledge of floating point comes from Minecraft.

I often have nightmares of navigating through crevices of glitched and basically fucked up materials and surroundings that don't function as it should because that's what I did toying with floating points. But imagine navigating through something like this IRL.

I napped for far too long earlier today and had a weird dream that really threw me off a little, idk.

The boss at my current workplace gifted me and my partner a 'wellness weekend' at some kind of spa/pool because I've exceeded expectations at work & and he wanted to reward me. We both went there and got told, by some older man in a white coat, how the whole 'procedure' was going to work: That we were to go into changing rooms, get undressed and then the 'relaxation' could start, he mentioned something about a big pool/bath that was supposed to be super relaxing (awake-me thinks he was talking about those sensory deprivation chambers). He also told us not to waste any time on folding our clothes, sorting our belongings & putting it into lockers or whatever, someone would do that for us.

This didn't strike me as odd yet, I've just regarded it as a nice additional service.

When I went into the changing room, I noticed that clothes & belongings of other people were strewn all around the room. I didn't think much of it, made some space on a bench and started to put my things in there & got undressed. Then I noticed a weird shadow in the corner of my eye, looked to my left and saw a misshapen man that was walking with a stick. It scared me so much that I slipped & fell to the ground. He just held his hands up in a "sorry, didn't mean to scare you" pose and walked through a door. Seeing him somehow triggered the feeling that something wasn't quite right and I've tried to text my partner & tell them, that we need to get out of this place.

After sending off the text, I've heard a vibration on the floor and noticed that their phone & necklace was lying on the floor. It took me several moments to grasp what that implied and I've started to panic, waking up IRL.

Ironically, I can exactly tell you how this dream came about. If anyone's interested, here's a quick rundown without trying to PL too much. Sorry if it's boring or TMI, I just like it when people tell me more about the origin of their dreams and I'm in a talkative mood with nobody to talk to rn, so here goes:

My boss gifting me something that's nice on the surface that actually might up ending my own life -> IRL, my boss was and still is happy with my performance at work, but cracks on a personal level have been starting to form more and more lately. And I feel like, at some point, this might be the reason why I'm getting either laid off or resigning.

The pools/sensory deprivation chamber -> I've been listening to a 'similar' creepypasta before dozing off, so that's not too hard to interpret, haha.

All the clothes of other people strewn around -> I guess those people are dead. Or gone. Or unreachable. Or something. I've been feeling a bit lonely/isolated lately, so I guess it fits.

The misshapen man -> I'm assuming it's because I've read both "Vermis" books recently. The man looked like he could be part of that universe.

My partner "vanishing" & leaving their stuff behind -> They were visiting family while I was napping at home. We've been having a bit of a rough path in the last two weeks and I guess the rest ist self-explanatory.

Reading all of that sounds terribly depressing, admittedly. I'm just not quite in the best state of mind lately, I guess.

I had a dream recently where the characters from Milky Holmes were stuck in a grocery store fending off millions of ants from the produce and getting lost in subliminal spaces

I dreamed i was floating in orbit above a planet. I was standing out in space on an open deck of the spaceship. I looked down onto the surface and saw a cat standing on its hind legs like a person, hunched over and Lurking around . I turned to one of the people on my ship and said, "uh-oh...he's doin' somethin weird!". we both smiled at each other. I began screaming, "HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!" at the planet and at the cat. The cat was the only thing on the planet. I could not get its attention. Then the planet crumbled into dust because I yelled too loud.

I was looking at the bottom of the ocean and there were two totally empty human bodies, but they were writhing because they were filled to bursting with some kind of parasites feeding on them, causing them to sway around like they were dancing. They were barely recognizable as having been formerly human, and I somehow knew they had no skeletons or organs in them, but were simply skins full of some kind of undersea creature.

For some reason, this didn't unnerve me, although at a certain point, I said out loud, to people in the room with me (somehow I was looking at the bottom of the ocean but within a room), "I don't want to look at this any more, it's like something out of a nightmare." And somehow just turned it off.

This is odd because usually, mentioning a dream inside a dream or any word relating to dreams immediately flips me into lucidity, because I realize, oh yeah, THIS is a dream. But it didn't this time, although it had the usual effect of turning off whatever was bugging me. I'm not sure why I was so blase about corpses dancing at the bottom of the sea while filled with horrific eldritch parasites, and it actually bugs me more now that I'm awake.
