Wendigoon Thread

I took that as her being corrupted by the mirror world and Not Scott losing the corruption of the mirror world, but it could have been done more tidily.
I would rather have had the letter threaten to do horrible things to her, then have Christine make shit up as she gets more corrupted and desperate, and then while Not Scott is chilling with the pug doing some soul-searching Scott comes in and kidnaps him like what happened before, throws him in the mirror world, and they never see each other again. Maybe even have the question of abuse be held off until the end when the dust settles and have it be revealed, fucking with Scott's feelings about everything.
I just finished the story, and I think the rape/not rape subplot was sloppily done because they had Not Scott go in super hard with the weird misogynist stuff and making weird comments about Christine early on. When he kidnapped her and chained her up, it makes little sense as to why he is nice to her when he was cruel to Not Christine as he was still in the corrupted world. Either go all in on evil Scott or tone him down a bit more.

Halfway through, Wendigoon does the modern sin of forgetting how bad the cold war was that makes the CIA shenanigans justified at the time. Well, except the shenanigans involving doing experiments on their countrymen.
That's something that deserves its own video, imo, I think if they went off too much onto Cold War era of American history I think it would weaken it.

A little bit of Wendigoon glaze though, as long as Wendigoon isn't a goon, I think he might have the makings of a small YouTube Network like Tim Pool. Just make sure to keep that Moistcritical podcast under the rug; talk about a charisma black hole.

So you're saying Goon has the makings of an insecure balding, commie faggot who has to pay people to get anyone to agree with him?
Lolbert not commie

No "so"s needed, if you want clarification, just ask. I'm saying I've seen harder crash outs and upsets in my life to a point where I can't rule any possibility out.

I've been thinking about this over the last couple of days since as I mentioned that was my biggest problem as well. I don't know how quickly all the parts came out. If they were written all at once and released immediately/over a few days and just formatted to fit within Reddit's post limits then it's just dumb writing, but I think he might have gotten some negative feedback or just chickened out thinking that'd make Not-Scott too hard to redeem. Personally I think murdering a child is worse than rape but they're both pretty bad and the murder was at least arguably necessary, if selfish, whereas it's basically impossible to justify rape

If you were doing a second draft you could just have Christine lie about it which would make it even more effective than it might have been had he not chickened out imo. If that lie is her idea rather than just something she goes along with then it makes her transformation that much more despicable

I finished listening to the My Wife/Husband Has Taken Out Roleplay Too Far episode and bruh it’s kino. That was probably the best pair of horror stories I’ve heard in a hot minute, and personally the one from the husband’s perspective got me wigged out the most.
I really like the element of the mold causing these crazy hallucinations and lapses in memory, it gives this element of the reader having to compare each story to try and figure out what really went down, and also I wouldn’t have made it through the breast “milk” scene if I didn’t already assume they were hallucinating.
My only question is about the husband apparently not existing in the conclusion of the wife’s story, no paperwork nothing. Did that ever get explained with like a witness protection thing I missed or was it a retcon?

Given that all we really know about the two is that the man is an accountant and the woman was a recluse that has a trust, my interpretation is that the man was her accountant who was over at her home to deal with her trust and finances when they got possessed by two entities that wanted to play house. The entities started roleplaying as husband and wife, got bored, then switched it up mother and son while really amping up the weird. Once the entities' "dollhouse" was destroyed they were free of their influence.

That's more in line with my theory.
I think the woman was a recluse in a house filled with toxic mold, the man was an accountant who came in the house just like the mailman and got the mold, they both had the delusion that they were actually a married couple, and then the stories start.
However, I don't think it was supernatural. I think that all the supernatural elements were hallucinations and the woman in particular was much more affected by the mold as she originally lived in it 24/7, even before the man was in the house. I also think the man's story was more in line with what actually happened, not all of it obviously but for example I think his account of the mailman and the child were closer to what went down.
I loved these stories, they were so tight and so good I just can't help but think more about them.

I'm like that with Wendi. He's on a downward trend with videos I actually care about over the last couple of years, but he'll still throw out some bangers or at least something I can watch in the background. He doesn't seem like a bad dud and I enjoy his content, but if it comes out he's insane like so many other internet personalities then it's just "Well darn."

I don't really worry about Wendi going insane, in fact a little insanity would do him some good because he lost some of that eccentric Sunday School teacher energy from his older videos.

Aside from generic middle-ground "the CIA and ATF are fucked and also I'm a fan of this Jesus fella", Wendigoon hasn't really talked politics much and seems to be fine with keeping it that way.
If he's smart, and I think he's smart enough, he'd understand that his job is to make videos and podcasts about creepypastas and conspiracies and that adding in politics would be a massive detriment to his content.
But it does suck that these days we can have a guy freaking out reading a story about bugs or whatever and people's first thought is "what does he think about troons?"

The way someone reacts to troons is a good measure for their personality.
For example, how many people were screeching about "trust the science" but in the same breath said men can be women?
If you accept tranny delusions, then I can't take you serious in any capacity because you are outright denying reality. It's as idiotic as people believing the earth is flat.
It's a fucking shame that it's even a question, and those asking the question should be shamed and ostracized from society for being so retarded and awarding the freaks any mind.

I agree, but man I just want some nice separation between fun content for a good time and political/culture-war/identity shit because that’s how it’s used to be. We used to have the fun content creators and the political content creators, but then they all started to mix together and things got less enjoyable overall on the Internet because of it.

I blame the internet. Especially twitter, gave too many a "voice" and far too many of them thinking their voice fucking matters.
