Wendigoon Thread

Is Ready or Not good for single player? I haven't played a shooter in a long time.

Also more Wendigang:

I don't know if the story is as famous as it used to be, especially that online, people will immediately tell the true version once anyone references it. Again, lots of Reddit style moralising when McDonald's did end up fixing the issue. Ditto for McDonald's trying to win in the court, as if any corporation is willing to lose in a law case. It's just grating and can be done for anything, yeah sometimes human error and system malfunction causes an issue, that's life.

The first time to play, you do feel this rush that you have to abandon your tactics and run around and find the school shooters to prevent them from harming more innocents.

So I haven't played this game and I don't know what the levels threats are, but active shooter training is basically that. You are going as fast as possible to find the shooter. You are checking rooms incredibly quickly and abandoning them instantly if you hear more shooting. It is unlike traditional SWAT tactics which is why police initially were really bad at active shooters because they treated it like they had to slowly clear a building of criminals. modern training is you go in as fast as possible to where you think the shooter is and kill them, even if that means it's only you and no backup. Active shooters know that the authorities are coming. Their concern is not the authorities. Their concern is killing as many people as possible. They often do not hide or wait in ambush, hence the rapid hunt and kill tactic.

I find it infinitely hilarious that basically the same day that Wendi releases his vid on Ready or Not and gives it tons and tons of kudos for being very upfront and open about showing the full brutality of the subjects of missions (Elephant, Neon, Dollhouse etc etc) that VOID came out and said they were going to be removing a lot of controversial stuff to allow the game to release to consoles and to allow for cross platform play with PC. It's caused a massive shitstorm in the community and the steam discussions page seems to have been totally locked down over it.

They fell over themselves to compliment wendi, help him with the video and even send him a bunch of swag, I wonder if we'll hear a peep out of him over the reversal of what he spent so much time in the video giving them accolades for doing.

I knew Isaiah was lost when he said he "wasn't a conservative".
I called it when there was a live stream and someone in the superchats/chat asked him what the Bible says about LGBT stuff, to which he waffled and said "lets not open that can of worms."

Now I'm not saying that "proves" anything, but the answer to that question is very clear, and very simple, just controversial. The fact that he couldn't muster a simple 1 sentence response (because thats all thats necessary) to the issue speaks volumes to me.

I agree his relationships with other ecelebs seem a little too chummy. Whether thats a lack of wisdom, or a lack of faith, I don't know enough to comment, but its definitely another red flag.

I think it's a "I don't want to be mean" or a "I'm just an entertainer" thing. He just dosen't want to be bothered.
On the other hand, no guy who cries that much at pictures of Jesus isn't Right wing. Maybe more libertarian but definitely Right Wing.

Is he a nice entertainer is he a Christian?

Being a Christian (according to the Bible) should come first before everything else.
If that means he has to be "mean" (frankly if someone saying "i think your lifestyle is immoral" is considered mean by somone then that person needs to rethink their life), or get into some controversy when directly asked on the issue, then that should be what he does.

Now that was one livestream, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that, but it was definitely the wrong reaction for someone who claims to be Christian.

VOID had a "redpill" reference on some paper in-game texture that they removed once some journo faggot noticed it. VOID has been removing and changing small stuff all the time. VOID like to be safe edgy to shock normies, but are being pussies about making actual edgy shit.

Even funnier is that VOID is now apperantly doing some major censoring on the game to get it out on consoles, literally just days after his video praising it.

He's said that he wants his life to be his witness rather than to proselytize. Basically, if someone looks at him and thinks that he's doing well he hopes that they'll aspire to look at what he's doing and try to emulate that, or ask him in private how they can better themselves. Giving a public answer that might hurt his viewership would be detrimental to his goal, he wants the opportunity to influence those who hate his beliefs without scaring them off

The thing is though this is not going to be small censoring, it's going to be massively censored compared to what it was. Wendi's video is basically going to be a historic archive of what it had, who knows what the DLC has that will be lost now.

I'm only speculating so I don't know for sure because I can't read the guy's mind.

I think a lot of this irritation comes form his "I'm not right wing" comments on Twitter. It's like, bro really? Why are you lieing?

It could also be filtering out people that would never consider following Christ anyway. The very center of Jesus's message is "pick up your cross and follow Me." If "Essentially, gay relationships/sex is considered a sin by the Bible" is offputting enough of a statement (its a statement of the facts, neither inflammatory or accusatory) to turn someone off from the Gospel, it is likely they were never going to pick up their cross anyway, and according to Matthew 10:14, so be it.

He wants people to find the truth, yet when directly questioned on what the truth says, he won't answer if the truth might be a little controversial. This could be a lack of wisdom on his part (or my part for that matter), or a lack of faith, but it still smells funny to me.

Nobody wants to get berated by livestream/Discord people, but this gave me an idea.

Recently there was a fuss about the Catholics canonizing the first "gamer saint," Carlo Acutis who died at 15 after helping the Church set up some websites.

There's still room for the first "gamer martyr saint." Imagine if he'd lived longer, become an influencer, and someone SWATted him while he was holding fast on unpopular doctrine on a livestream.

Maybe I need to write to the Black Mirror guy about this.

Wasn't it supposed to mostly be visuals? What would stop them from just doing what Left 4 Dead did almost 20 years ago with the censored international versions coexisting just fine with the uncensored US version? Why would the console edits block crossplay?

Dont know. This is all stuff they said they were doing themselves and it was the final decision.

I finally got to The Black Farm, and BRUH…
I don’t think I’ve ever read a more insane, metal, brutal, terrifying book than that. It was awesome, I do not recommend it unless you already liked Feed The Pig.
The imagery is so crazy I am actually disappointed that it wasn’t a comic or something, because one of the coolest horror things I’ve ever read was him describing the thousands of foot tall giants in a black sea framed by a ruptured, bleeding sun. The giants are made of stone and their heads are crosses from which thousands of people are hung from their necks by chains, screaming forever as they can never die.
And then Muck shows up and I legit had to put the book down because I wanted to sleep that night, it’s not for the faint of heart.
However, the story is great, the writing is great, and the thematic exploration of selfishness and suicide was mint.
Great book, don’t read it.
