I did a quick check, and you're right. The last game Lucas Pope made was Mars After Midnight, which is exclusive to a shitty Gameboy type device.

All I know about this game is that it was featured on OneyPlays and it was genuinely one of the most boring games I've ever seen them play.

He has been losing his luster for a while. The eccentric Sunday school teacher ranting about conspiracy theories, ARGs, and obscure bible lore has been long gone. The real nail in the coffin was when he opened up a slop channel and just read whatever script his staff of Redditors give him. I get he has a kid on the way and needs stable income and this is the way to do it, but I can't really watch his stuff anymore with just how low effort it is.
 
I think I haven't bothered watching anything Wendi related in a year now, and even then I've been feeling the loss of the spark for longer. CreepCast has never been my thing so I didn't really have that either, the side channel got turned into a slop channel as mentioned and most of the things he's into is just far too normie or shit for my liking. I just don't feel any incentive to watch anything he makes anymore. The nail in the coffin for me was him announcing multiple podcasts at once and one of them was that crappy one with Cr1tikal/Charlie and that other Australian guy that was very clearly there as an extra revenue stream for all of them involved, and I think the main channel videos at the time was that crappy cryptid iceberg series that felt incredibly phoned in. He's still a good boi and I wish him the best tho, the fact that Redditors tend to still mald about him is funny.

He's been miss a lot recently for me. The penis toes thing, the constant singing, even his Papa Meat channel that I actually enjoyed way more than his cartoons is starting to get boring. He's using his editors as spring boards to bounce jokes off of which was funny at first now it's like a permanent fixture in his PM videos.

Their videos are struggling to break 50k now, while a year ago with the OG hosts they were easily getting AT LEAST 500k watchers.

I saw his most recent video on papa meat was about the boy scouts. Given his inability to poke at homosexuals and the politics around the boy scouts I don't trust it not to piss me off.

It wasn't even the debate that did him in. Yeah, he said some retarded and awful shit, but it wasn't anything that would have gotten HIS audience up and arms. The most he got from them is teasing about how shit he is at debating. The only person who canceled Charlie, was Charlie.

I just remember he left Red Thread like immediately after the Sneako debate backlash. Like so soon after it's hard not to imagine it wasn't connected in some way.

It is connected, but the backlash wasn't really that bad. He could have tanked it and been fine because most of the outrage was from outside his audience of redditors. Him suddenly stepping away from all his side projects seems like a big overreaction on his part for what is drama that would be laughed off and forgotten in a week. I think Charlie already had a foot out the door with things like the podcast and the drama seemed like the best excuse to finally leave.

I liked the Bible stuff (not my wheelhouse) and conspiracies/history, and the fake-ARG coverage can be interesting because it's nice to get a rundown on something that is definitely part of culture, but I don't want to bother to engage with.

Wendi's surface-level takes on popular media aren't really worth my time, or his.

The Rapturetok video was the most he's been like his old self in a while.
