This sounds accurate. There's a video on his second channel where he goes over a natural disaster that fucked over the Appalachian area. He was invovled in a rebuilding project.
 
I have fond memories of reading this as it was being developed on 4chan, so this was a fun throwback.

I don’t know if Baptists or whatever American prot denomination Wendi is part of considers suicide an irredeemable mortal sin like the Catholics do but even they’ve softened up on it from the point of view of incurable depressive mental illness so while the position of willingly killing yourself is a major concern for damnation in most cases across Christian denominations nowadays they will generally concede that your reasoning is between you and God and though the act is sinful and should be condemned it is up to God to judge your final outcome.
 
Story was pretty neat. 4chan surprises me in how it can come together on collaborative shit like this. I'm surprised at how grossed out Hunter acted. The story wasn't really any more yucky than anything else they've read.
Goon was being a pussy about how the gorls are treated in this, and other, hellscape for sure though.

After watching the video the suicide talk was just Hunter joking that if dogs eat things they aren't supposed to(chocolate, garlic etc), willingly, then they go to hell. And then he joked that people who eat things dogs can't should also go to hell. That's all it was.
 
One, Wendigoon is an American and therefore likes capital. If I could accrue significant capital by reading creepypastas instead of going to school guess what I’d be doing. It’s one thing to not care about money when it’s just you and your girl, but when you have a kid suddenly having saving becomes a lot more important.
Two, let’s be real here he’s a massive pussy when it comes to literally any type of horror whatsoever. I read shit like Cows on my lunch but even with my highly skewed barometer Wendigoon is the biggest pussy I have ever seen be a horror fan. Maybe it makes it better for him, more thrills idk but he is the biggest pussy that has ever menstruated.

Why must every ARG be "the scariest thing he ever watched"? Just grating by now. Also hate the argument that it's well acted because how the fuck does he know if he doesn't speak Japanese? Anyways kinda generic JHorror for now.

AKTUALY, it's a popular interpretation of god message in Genesis that he will punish anyone who spill another's blood, which is interpreted to include the person killing himself. It makes sense since this can fuck over the person's entire family, especially wife and kids.

Don't know why Wendigoon wouldn't agree, either not wanting to come as extreme to anyone, or have been through the brainwash of "suicide is always a person who has an incurable disease that causes ungodly amount of pain".

A lot of Japanese comments on the videos often note that the acting is a way that has tipped off some of the wider plot points of the series, so I'd say the acting quality is solid at a minimum. The big one was people working out the NEET agency lady was actually a cultist because her behaviour and mannerisms didn't line up with how people in those careers act over there.

In response to their annoyance with the Marmaduke entry, it was popular on 4chan at the time to post unhinged Marmaduke and Heathcliff panels, and increasingly unhinged edits of the originals, so the Marmaduke reference to this panel specifically was very funny at the time.

i don't think its an ARG, cause an ARG has to reveal eventually what the plot line is, half of what makes this show so good is how mysterious and ambiguous it is, if they start unravelling it , it will lose a lot of its charm, also the team behind it are also doing short bonus snippets of contents in text form in a website (japanese only sadly) and a book, and when you put it all togheter it just sounds like a bunch of mostly unrelated surreal paranormal mysteries taking place in the same universe, to me this is much better and more interesting than an ARG.
some of the best episodes are the ones you have genuinely no idea wtf is going on ("final countdown" and "film inferno") for example
 
I'll add to the economic talk the fact Wendigoon now has a staff (despite the quality of both editing and content only getting worse).

The natural life cycle of an ARG (at least the modern one, not the classic one that actually involves searching through the web):
* Series starts well.
* Builds up to some idea with vague connections.
* Mystery box revealed, it's underwhelming.
* Creators double down on retardation.
* It all burns down, the series is retroactively ruined.

Of course the plebbitors on r/creepcast are seething because the story had *gulp* rape in it. Torture, mutilation, kidnapping, cannibalism, demonic possession, child death, those are all GOOD and WHOLESOME heccin horrorinos!!! Rape in horror is bad though! W-why? BECAUSE IT JUST IS YOU FUCKING FUCK!!!!!

Saw the STALKER trilogy is "free" with a psn sub. Went on here to check out the STALKER sub for recs but the threads dead, forgot Wendi was part of a STALKER fan film. They said it was dogshit and he's a tourist, which I can believe, but what say you lot?

How's the trilogy hold up compared to the OGs and is Wendi a tourist of STALKER like he is most of his interests?

Normies are REALLY weird about rape in media, particularly in how they treat it as this separate unthinkable crime worse than murder that villains who are a-okay with murder or cannibalism or something would never stoop to unless they're the worst of the worst, I understand how people have much more experience with getting raped than they do getting murdered with a chainsaw or something, but it gets particularly cringy when one-and-done games like Mouthwashing have their popularity arbitrarily inflated because Jimmy's also a rapist in addition to being a narcissistic killer, or when shitty, forgettable b-movies like Megan is Missing get far more reverence and irreverence than they otherwise would if they excluded the rape scene at the end, or where on Creepcast, were you'll have Hunter dying laughing over a child in a hell dimension graphically having his head blown off with a shotgun, but the slightest allusion toward a woman getting raped offscreen in the exact same story will have the two go "uh ohhh, that's a yikes, I'm sure nothing's going on over there."
 
All I want to say is that I am a fuckin’ soothsayer, I knew long ago earlier this year that Creepcast would lead to the rejection of nosleep for creepypasta.
You can check the records, I said this shit because I see the future and read the stars.
 
I don’t have an issue with the stories with rape or graphic violence. The Tommy Taffey one I couldn’t finish (the dad just crying outside the door set me off I was so MATI about the whole interaction like fucking grow a pair and do something). And the first Borrasca story was infuriating for me because I was so hyped for this ‘deal with the devil’ aspect I was led to believe was happening, only for it to be a rape farm fetish and I felt so blue-balled (I don’t have a better term for the absolute disappointment and let down the ending was. Just felt like shock value and badly disguised kink… was the author a woman?)

My point was I don’t care for child abuse stories that feel overly gratuitous?
