He is definitely a sucker for lore, but I don't think he does a whole lot of hyper analyzing himself. Like with his Mouthwashing video a lot of "his" analysis of the story was him regurgitating what the community told him what the story was even if a lot of key parts of his theory on the don't make any sense if you actually hyper analyze the story (like what this thread did agruing about it for a half dozen pages), but because most of the community says it is that way, so it must be. I suspect a lot of his "lore" videos are the same, he watches a work, watches and reads other's commentary on it, the provide us the consensus in his own words.
 
Regardless of my opinion on AI, I found the video to be a chore to watch since it was more sperging about AI than analyzing the actual thing.
As for something more personal: I get it, artists feel threatened by AI "taking muh jobs" but often it borders onto a witch huny and more importantly: elitism.
I am no AI bro but if someone with a good, "fresh" idea who has no art skills can bring his vision to life through AI? Thats great, but to these faggots thats bad because... It is bad ok? Dude should raise a bunch of money, make connections and pay out of the ass for artists and professional voice actors else it hurts my feelings since thats souless art or something. Seriously some of these people who became stablished have become delusional and don't know what it is like to start out with fuckall.


Edit: I believe a lot of criticism towards the series can be boiled down to "creator is lazy and doesn't put enough effort into editing and double checking his work", which is not so much the tool (AI) but the user since a smart prompter will know its way around image editing software and fine tune things as needed. To me the creator comes off as lazy for that exact reason.

It's just so bizzare when his videos are so lazy & derravtive in nature and are filled with misstakes.

Most of the time he (a multi millionare) won't do a second take when he missspeaks or edit out falsehoods instead pinning a comment correcting himself when he has more then enough resources to do so if he was passaionate about his craft.
But he expects small horror creators to either spend hours on art or hire artists for thousands of dollars to make horror args from their moms basment otherwise he admonishes them for being lazy.

It's hypocrisy at it's finest I don't mind him trying to set standards but he isn't even close to follow them himself.
 
I haven't watched Goon's videos in a white, and I probably shouldn't have, because this was really fucking MATI-inducing. The lack of self-awareness during his AI rants is pretty amazing, honestly. The guy who's essentially a nice(r) "ChatGPT, summarize this book/article/movie for me" is trying to lecture people about some nebulous "purpose" and how "AI can only exist by using art that other people have made", showing his friends' OCs as examples of "totally original art, donut steel". The extremely condescending delievery didn't help either.

Oh, and he was raped by AI or some shit, apparently ("speaking of things done without consent"). It do be like that, though.

I use tiktok sometimes to browse for reviews on local resturants or military edits. Not even once using the plattform have I ever had a porn add. I have had for things i google tough like tools or 4 wheelers. What is bro googling to get pron adds?

Holy shit the amount of hypocricy and double think in this short clip is off the chart. A good chunk of Wendigoon's videos are mainly noise without much depth (virtually everything on his other channels). Looking into new forms of art somehow excludes AI despite it being a legitimate method of making art. The idea that modern artists don't get inspiration from past work is sanctimonious as hell.

In the end it's just gatekeeping but trying to disguise it as some moral safeguarding against an evil technology. No different than what he and his friends did for UrbanSPOOK but somehow even more annoying.
 
I'm so sick of this author. She never seems to improve and every story is the same "duh human condition is darkest of all" shit. It's all so Reddit coded. Wendi's AI sperging did made me laugh. All of his videos for the past year or so could have been written with AI. Probably were. He hires scriptwriters anyway so I find it difficult to take him seriously on artistic integrity. Also with the talk of him just mirroring talking points, the AI sperging is likely just him regurgitating what his wife says. She cries about it on Twitter a lot. I agree with the sentiment already expressed here that if someone has a really good idea and lacks funds or whatever, AI is a great option. If some idiot in Hollywood can pay millions for special effects and big name actors to stand around in order to just rip off a book, why can't someone use AI to bypass paying actors and sfx artists and just make the original idea that is in their head? Wendi sounds like a cunt.

I've just grown tired of him and CreepCast in general. I'm sick of him and Meat just so obviously playing characters for weird Reddit people. Their interactions and jokes are so fake and scripted. They even cater to the freak homo shippers. He doesn't do any Christian content anymore, probably shamed out of it by Hunter and his other degen friends. Keeps tattling on himself with gooner stories. Every meetup just consists of skanks in black lipstick trying to get his attention and I do think that's where he's gonna get himself in trouble. The South Korea video, last analogue horror, and Whitefall back to back were the combo hits that killed me.

Off topic but it reminded me of Apocalypse Now. I watched that movie for the first time a few months ago and I kept hyperfixating on the Kurtz introduction scene....even though it was improv because Brando didn't learn his lines and he was fat so they had to cast him in shadows.

That's not to mention the disaster it took to film the movie.

It might take away some of the magic but for me, it sort of adds to it. It's impressive what they made with so many odds stacked against them

Only thing I'll agree with in this episode is that Steven King is over rated and he can only write good short stories. His novels fucking suck.

Boy thought he was cooking with that speech. Humanity has been doing nothing but producing noise and regurgitating that noise for millennia. Human creation has always been predictable and derivative because humans naturally follow patterns and trends. There is a reason why the hero's journey is a common story structure since the start of stories (hasn't he talked about the monomyth before?). Nothing wrong with that humans like familiarity, but new artistic tools is how we force change and develop new techniques and evolve art to adapt or compete with it. Also his part about how AI art has no meaning to the AI or the user. Art means very little to tools, I doubt a brush cares if it worked on someones magnum opus or a child's school project. Second of all, AI art means a whole lot to people like him because it invokes such a strong reaction from him, which many would argue, provoking thought and emotion is a part of art.

Ck walker seems to have a thing for setting up some huge alpha male villain that doesn't get defeated in the main story. Also that weird guy they kicked off the bus in the first bit had seemingly no connection to the story. Idk, the writing was good but it was a very disappointing ending and they never explored outside the building which really sucked.
