I think Bryke confirmed they’re going to make their casting as authentic as possible in response how Paramount handled the casting for the movie. While this has assured a number of fans, there are many other uphill battles for the TV series.

As for who’s getting the gay stick, given how Kiyoshi was revealed to be bi in the comics, Toph seems another likely candidate. Azula could be their Catra and be redeemed through a lesbian romance.

Ah yes, make the literal psychopath a redeemable lesbian, that's certainly not gonna hurt anything. Why not just make one of the male characters gay? Lesbians are easy to do and gay guys might make people mad.

Yep! Incidentally Tom has mentioned he never pictured his character having a silly/goofy voice such as what they did for this cameo with using Howard Morris. He suggested the voice could have an Australian accent with some duck characteristics.

You're close. It's a newly-modified BLM-specific version of the Declaration of Kids' Rights, and it omits quite a bit from the original for obvious reasons.

I’m honestly surprised CN hasn’t jumped on this train.
Though why exactly is a channel for kid’s shows and animation is stepping and playing activist for a very sensitive subject at the moment is a mystery for the ages.
