Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Noticed some church group uploaded these vids just recently on Vimeo without permission from their source, but there's a series of Bible vids put out there that are pretty well-done and used top animators on 'em, created by the same guy who was involved with "McGee & Me" and "Adventures in Oddyssey" animated vids (and if you check his imdb, a bunch of Saturday morning crap).

While obviously preachy, If I had to pick this over Davey & Goliath, I wouldn't mind picking this.

Anyone else seen OK K.O yet, first six episode just came out today and it basically like a mix between Scott Pilgrim, the first dragon ball and street fighter, and it made by the former head writer for Steven Universe. It damn good so far. Plus unlike a like of video game reference cartoons, the humor is still there without knowing about them and like it more closer to classic adventure time and early Spongebob then say, gaming webcomics and what ever that live action video game show on CN was.

It's a bit rough around the edges (especially in terms of art style choice), but it is a damn fun ride, so far. IMHO, it's something CN would be wise to keep around (to hopefully keep getting better from here) for a long ass time. That, and it's much funnier and action packed than Social Justice Universe, so there's most definitely that much going for it - again, IMHO.

So I don't know how late I am on this, but apparently one of the writers of the Powerpuff Girls Reboot wrote their self-insert into the show? And apparently said self-insert was a love interest for Blossom???
Here's a clip featuring every scene he's in:

And he's a clip of the guy himself with a breakdown of the situation:

This is Brooke McEldowney level sad. And this was a guy who redesigned a character to look like a younger version of him and had the character banging a woman who was based off his daughter. He also has another man who looks like him that married the woman's mom.

How pathetic does one have to be to not only have one self insert, but two?

Also, since I don't think it's been shared yet, the intro for the DuckTales reboot came out:

I like the animation, but the song itself is not as good as the original.

It's still pretty good, but you're right. Though the show still looks good and it seems like Flintheart Glomgold has put on some weight.

Some weight?
Anyway, I think this looks pretty promising.
Scrooge McDuck is going to make western animation GREAT again.

I genuinely hope that some stories by Don Rosa will be in some way adapted into the entire thing.

I looked up some stuff and there will be a new antagonist named, Mark Beaks, who represents the modern tech billionaire who is obsessed with his image and supporters he can get. I think this will make for an interesting parallel compared to the old-school types in Duckberg. Also, I'm glad that the Beagle Boys will look more like dogs in this version.

I always thought "The Golden Helmet" would make a great DuckTales story myself. I'm not holding my breath, but wouldn't it be nice?...

Would be interesting if they do. I sorta dig the comic book appeal they went with in the backgrounds of this series. Music certainly isn't my thing, but at least it's the theme tune.

Doesn't hurt to try.

I'm sure that'll be a nice breath of fresh air for some too used to the Carl Barks look for these canine/human hybrid beings.

A pal of mine just uploaded a few classics, unseen before in their intended aspect ratio!

Time to inflict some pain around here... From Disney Channel importing stuff from Canada, again.
Seriously did anyone like either Hotel Trannsylvania movie enough in any sense to want to see an animated prequel series taking place before the very first film? It's basically the same BS (especially in terms of forgettable-to-weakass writing quality, which is usually a given when you're made in Canada...) as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, only with slightly better art (and own its own merits, it's not even that good, either, honestly.).

Someone at Sony wanted money!

Sony's desperate. And if the Emoji movie bombs hard (:optimistic:), who knows what else they'll ship off to be made into a Flash cartoon.

Assuming it doesn't just kill them outright.

The Special Edition version of Journal 3 from Gravity Falls came out a bit ago and I'm slightly regretting not getting myself a copy. They did a pretty damn good job on it (glowing ink!) but I'm not sure if it's really worth the $150 or so for the same content with a few extra nuggets of info buried in it.
