PPG and Fosters are both getting animated reboots helmed by Craig.

Edit:
Looks like the Fosters thing is a pre-school show with a new cast. PPG seems like its expanding on the OG series.
It's about damn time Genndy's lucky winning streak rubbed off on Craig! BRING IT! :drink:

Funny this comes not long after he said he moved on but I trust Craig far more than any of the "fans" that put their hacky mitts on his project in the past. Godspeed to him (and the euros he's getting to make this instead of the usual korean sweatshops).

Well, if he's doing it, I'm OK with that...

I assume he's getting the original voices for the PPG? Not recasting them?
I would assume so too. All except Tom Kane who had a stroke last year.

I am so conflicted on this. On one hand, Mike Judge shows that putting the original creator back in the saddle can do wonders for a reboot. On the other hand
>the third PPG revival in the six years
>a reboot of Foster’s for preschoolers
I’m just feeling that reboot fatigue that’s been plaguing animation. We’re going to get to the point where we’ll end up with Gravity Falls and Steven Universe get reboots because have become that bankrupt.
Especially sad since he had at least 10 ideas lined up.

GF I could see being rebooted, but Sugar will probably just continue with a few specials given her past comments. In regards to reboots in general, I agree it's rather overdone for the most part but the optimist in me perks up due to Craig's involvement. Here's hoping he hasn't lost his touch.

Eh, if it were really rubbing off, he would have had his villain show greenlit and in production. It comes across another corporate reboot though thankfully the creator is involved with his own creation.
I want to be optimistic like @starborn427614 said, really, but with this franchise, it’s like ice skating uphill.

have to mildy disagree if only because of one example, Joe murray and static cling. That special is another can of worms all together, but in short it feels less like a love letter to the glory days and more like a dear john letter .

As I've said before , Joe murray basically used that special to say, ''Th 90s are over! a reboot of a show from that decade isn't gonna magically make things like it's 1995 again all of a sudden.''

That's something a lot of folks needed to hear, though.

My favorite part of this is them essentially wiping PPG2016 from existence.
What is this PPG2016 you speak of? I don't remember such a thing ever existing.

Lord knows Tara Strong could seriously use something to do other than freaking out on Twitter all day.

Something I was trying to get at. For every Mike Judge or even Enter the Florpus, you get things like Static Cling, the Kim Possible movie, the Rugrats reboot. Craig can make a good Kid Cosmic or Wander Over Yonder but we won’t know if he can still make a good PPG.
That's something a lot of folks needed to hear, though.
It could be the execution rather than the message; practical advice but way too hamfisted and somewhat hypocritical.
Alas, nobody listened and here we are. It’s gotten to the point where webtoons capture the spirit of the 90s better than most reboots.

Jesus Christ, another PPG Reboot?? Honestly even with them trying to nuke PPG 2016 from existence I really don’t think we need another continuation, since the show never really left us. People seem to forget that the after the shows film and initial ending in 2005 there was still like two shorts, a Christmas special, ,a tenth anniversary special, and a special episode using CGI technology. The series has kind of never left, it doesn’t need yet another continuation just let it rest CN.

As for Fosters as a pre-school I kind of like the idea due to the childlike imaginations perhaps it could work who knows.

Foster’s seems right for a Pre-K show, and PPG isn’t the weirdest choice either. I mean, we already have Tom & Jerry, Batman, and Looney Tunes for pre-k shows.

This has been bothering me though, how the hell has WB, in their quest to fill this pre-k line-up with IP, completely skipped Scooby Doo so far? They cannot go 5 seconds without rebooting Scoob and his format would lend itself perfectly to an educational piece given the mystery aspect, yet nothing. Fucking Tom & Jerry gets a pre-k show, but not Scooby?

they already did, it was called A Pup named Scooby Doo; and it was art

Look what the cat dragged in.

Starts with a fairytale-esque prologue of a King giving a cherub the gift of being a dreamer before sending him down to earth to be born. It's cute.

Big news. A website has been launched that's streaming lots of Polish films from the communist era, all with English subtitles...

And of course, that includes animation. The glory days of Polish cartoons are now available for free.

Here's the animation section and the kids' section, which also contains lots of cartoons.

I am more talking within the context of Cartoonito. CN/Warner has this huge initiative to do a pre-k block with their IP, so I am surprised Scooby was not amongst the new series. You would think a mystery show would lend nicely to an educational format compared to say, Tom & Jerry.

I was wrong though, just found out they are doing a Scooby Pre-K series for Cartoonito:

I swear to god if Scrappy doesn't return for this.

Nice, I can watch all the "Rex" cartoons whenever!

And yes, I'm using YouTube here, but whatever, I like visual aides.

They're going after Looney Tunes as well, sad.
