Was it the Rugrats creator who freaked out when someone sent him fanart of the characters grown up all attractive. His response was no they would not look like that and made art of them grown up ugly. He later apologize but I thought that was funny.

There was also a recent scene where they're mad about how some boy "doesn't date black girls" and asked Zoey out instead. They all start shit talking the boy and Zoey because of it, even calling Zoey a "red headed Becky." I wish I saved the clip but it seems like it was removed from Twitter. I'm really curious how that episode ends.

I haven't bothered much with the new Proud Family despite liking the past one. But if I rememebr right they got a blacktivist character with homo dads now so I'm gonna take a wild guess on who's causing race trouble.

No it was Eric Molinksy who was a storyboarder. Honestly I can't recall the last time we heard a peep from the original creators. They kind of did their thing and fucked off.

Posting this here from the Soviet Animation (or Russian Animation) thread since the thread is pretty much dead. Would you consider Russian animation Western animation? It's pretty Westernized and most of the usual stuff of the post-Soviet era is based on European folktales.

One of the famous animators of the Post-Soviet Russian period, he is known for his 2D animated films done entirely in pastel paintings on glass.

By using his fingertips instead of a paintbrush on different glass sheets positioned on multiple levels, each covered with slow-drying oil paints, he was able to add depth to his paintings. After photographing each frame painted on the glass sheets, which was four times larger than the usual A4-sized canvas, he had to slightly modify the painting for the next frame and so on. It took him over two years—from March 1997 through April 1999—to paint each of the 29,000+ frames. For the shooting of the frames a special adapted motion-control camera system was built, probably the most precise computerized animation stand ever made. On this an IMAX camera was mounted, and a video-assist camera was then attached to the IMAX camera.

This sounds offer. I remember how in the original cartoon they never made it a big deal that Zoey was white. The only time was that time travel dream episode ( which was a good episode).

Because most animation IS MADE by terminally online man/womanchildren. It is a legit breath of fresh air to see a show made specifically for Children, without being a headache for adults to have to over hear it with them.
