Pretty much. I have no faith in them ever rebounding at this point. Currently, there are rumors that Warner is trying to buy out Paramount. If this deal goes through, I would place bets on it meaning the end of CN. Nickelodeon may be built on pedos, but it is a far bigger brand and more worthwhile to make the primary children's network than CN.So basically, they got used as another disposable pawn for a bunch of bigger companies pulling the strings with every attempt to revitalize themselves either being shut down or quietly cancelled, just barely coasting off their brand recognition as the guys who used to make really cool shit?
you are just mad that people are seeing that Disney was right to cancel your shit. Once on the internet, always on the internet. Cope and seetheApparently a couple of Disney TVA employees responded to the whole leak thing.

I feel like most of these things (story bibles, pilots) should be archived even if it's not considered lost media.Apparently a couple of Disney TVA employees responded to the whole leak thing.

FIFYDo DVDs/Blu-ray's even exist anymore?
Genuinely, unironically the history of these channels and old shows being made public for archival is more important than every single '''''animation''''' job in the industry today. If there were a button to archive and make public all of this material but every animator got fired, I'd press it twice.
Call me crazy, but I kinda don't see cartoon IP centralization as that much of a bad thing. If all cartoon IPs were split between two entertainment mega-corps and they each had a dedicated division to produce a reboot or new show from their IPs each year, we'd get way better quality, just with lower output. The shows could still be low quality because writing for American animation is in the toilet now, but I'd take 2 shows with decent writing that are actually animated in America each year over the currently dwindling sewage pipe of outsourced-to-Korea beanmouth Steven Universe-wannabe slop. It's a dead channel now. Warner gutted them years ago and just like Warner prime, they are nothing more than a collection of IPs that can just be sold off to the next mega-corp that is willing to take on Warner's ungodly debt.
PBS recently introduced a retro block, I think. Good if you want to watch Thomas and Mr. Rogers; I hope they'll air Between the Lions on it.The landscape is pretty depressing. I think CN just gave up competing with tiktok, streamers and anime for kids' attentions and started relying on nostalgia baiting with that Checkered Past block.
Oh God Between the Lions is 24 years old now, therefore retro.I hope they'll air Between the Lions on it.
Hard disagree. The past two decades have been monopolization and quality has only been on a downward trend across the board. Animation has no dedicated space at these companies compared to when a channel like CN was more independent. As such, the higher ups meddle way more and the likelihood of getting nepo-hires, such as Mindy, gets way higher.Call me crazy, but I kinda don't see cartoon IP centralization as that much of a bad thing. If all cartoon IPs were split between two entertainment mega-corps and they each had a dedicated division to produce a reboot or new show from their IPs each year, we'd get way better quality, just with lower output.
Don't care, get (clitty) leaked nigger.Apparently a couple of Disney TVA employees responded to the whole leak thing.

Wasn't there also something where the creator said that the big spooky darkness represented toxic online fans or some shit?-snip-
To be fair, OTGW is pretty peak. When was the last time /co/ enjoyed a show the whole way through without criticism? Over The Garden Wall?
It's only ten half-length episodes, though. To be fair, OTGW is pretty peak.
Snow White was only 83 minutes long, but it was still revolutionary. The best kinds of media make good use of their runtime. It's only ten half-length episodes, though.
That wouldn't be too far off, considering this show was Dodge Greenley's dream child (or, in this case, miscarriage).Wasn't there also something where the creator said that the big spooky darkness represented toxic online fans or some shit?
He's trying to be hip and shitposty, but instead has come off as a fucking creep with no love for the medium of animation. Topped off with a dead stare for a headshot, and you got the embodiment of everything wrong with the modern industry. When you research the man, his main reason for making Pibby seems to be "making cartoons for children, driven by the noble aspiration to corrupt the world's youths."
You can see it in his bio.
Can the quirky bios die off already? I get making one joke, but when all but one sentence ends in one, it comes off less quirky and fun going, and more "I need attention" and "I'm not like other professionals".When you research the man, his main reason for making Pibby seems to be "making cartoons for children, driven by the noble aspiration to corrupt the world's youths."
You can see it in his bio.

It's a shame because with digital streaming releases, you own nothing, unlike physical format releases. Once a product leaves digital, then it's gone, and the only way people buy physical formats is to be into a niche known as format collecting just to preserve the media originally intendedFIFY
To answer, no, most of them are slimmed down to just the shows nowadays as extras cost too much money.
I mean it was more of a tech demo of how a piece of animation can run in full-lengthSnow White was only 83 minutes long, but it was still revolutionary. The best kinds of media make good use of their runtime.
