Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

its been in years its only a matter of time before its not just povemeres work that will be apolitical on the rats network.
Big City Greens and Kiff are both shows that are very apolitical that my family like. The Mickey Mouse shorts, while not very good, are also apolitical.

This is the only DEI I want in my cartoons.

And maybe scallops will fly outta me pants.
But sir, Plankton's changed, I tell you!

I'm catching up on the fourth season of Wakfu right now.

IMO it's just as good as the series peak, the second half of the first season.

My only problem is that the show became WAY different than the show I started watching like 10+ years ago. I'm not entirely complaining but still.
Well I finished it. I really enjoyed it, things felt wrapped up, but I heard a fifth season was just announced. How long has this been going on now, 16 years?

I was surprised to find out that a 4th season was made since I though that Wakfu was put on ice after the 3rd season.

After finishing season 4, I think that season 4 was as good as season 1, better than season 2, and a lot better than season 3. I enjoyed Qilby being back and I though they handled his character decently and did not leave him rotting in the White Diminsion. Qilby getting the 6 Eliatrope Dofus and his fight with Lokus were fun to watch.

I was wondering if Ankama was going to do a fifth season considering they were setting up subplots such as Flopin joining Madagaskan and Ush saying that the Goddess Eliatrope was responsible for the Inglorium being in ruins hinted that a fifth season was possibly in the works.

You are correct since Season 1 came out in 2008. Hard to believe that this series is almost 20 years old.

Martin mull? I had no idea vlad was voiced by him...or maybe I just forgot. Hard to believe he was already over 60 when he voiced him he sure as hell didn't sound it.

Mull was kinda like Jason mardsen or Richard Steven Horvitz , no matter how old they get all ill ever hear when they speak is either amgsty 90s teenager max goof (or even more angsty Boone from new vegas) billy from billy and mandy or if you wanna get a little obscure; Bradley "skipper" Matthew's from the book on tape version if goosebumps attack of the mutant.

Povenmire's stuff is pretty apolitical, Phineas & Ferb is of course the best one, but Milo Murphy's Law and Hamster & Gretel are pretty alright too. Kind of surprised Disney lets him get away with not being woke, but then, they have a couple other cartoons that aren't woke either. Maybe they're just desperate for something kids want to watch.
It feels like Milo got away with so much that I think they put him on a tighter leash. The island episode in particular, which got into some oddly heavy time travel concepts for a show squarely aimed at kids. I haven’t seen the latest H&G episodes, yet they’re way more toned down from what I’ve watched of it.

H&G was always intended for a slightly younger audience, though, so it's probably not creative interference. His daughter voices the main character.

I best remember him as being the Principal Kraft on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. I initially thought the character was voiced by John DiMaggio since, to me, he sounded a bit similar to Brother Blood from Teen Titans. Rest in peace.
He also guest starred in an episode of Dexter's Laboratory during Season 3 alongside Fred Willard
Honestly one of the only truly enjoyable episodes of that season in my opinion

I don't think anyone cares but Megamind Rules! had a "second season" and for what it is is massive improvement over both vs. the Crime Syndicate and the "first season", not saying is up to the quality of the movie tho.

Each episode is about Megamind's arc on how he feels about being a hero since the made-up mentor for this show degraded him back to villain. The last four episodes or so are an arc of everyone being corrupted and Megamind using the power of love to save the day. Sounds corny, right? What if I told you that all of this happens because the villain voiced by Adam Lambert isn't an idiot and keeps getting ahead of Megamind while not breaking the script? Last four episodes, if you watched this shit back in March consider this your palette cleanser.

Really didn't care to know this, but A for effort.

I'm gonna take over the thread to sperg about Brave Little Toaster instead since it's my favorite movie. Anyone else love this movie? All the songs are so good they've been stuck in my head for years.
🎵 I can't take this kind of pressure
I must confess one more dusty road would be just a road too long.....
