Such a shame for Smith. It's been decades and we still don't have an animated Bone series.
I dunno, I'm torn. On the one hand, it IS a shame that Bone hasn't gotten an animated adaptation, despite being a prime candidate for one. On the other, I shudder to think about the potential "woke-ifying" it would've gotten under NetFux. So, bittersweet. (I actually haven't read the comic all the way through since the first time when I was a kid. This has given me the impetus to actually go back and do so.)

And yet they're spending 30 million dollars per episode on Stranger Things.

I probably could have told you Netflix's business model was going to lead to this. But they were never gonna listen.

Any Netflix original Is like the lawful evil of any film/show based company, they will willingly push the lowest common denominator shit and expect people to eat it up. Despite having the resources to have known to occasionally make real gems. It’s infuriating.

Then again WB couldn't make Baby Blues work as a show.
There's a long, forgotten memory!
You're telling me! IIRC, it actually aired on Adult Swim a few times. Also IIRC, the creators of the comic strip it was based on weren't really happy with it overall, because WB execs made the show Simpsons-esque to capture that audience.

No, they were not. I think they even wanted to rename the show, but the creators put their feet down.

Speaking of reviving old shows….someone is making the third season of Sonic SatAM.
Sega doesn't usually mind people making fangames and shit but I can't imagine them letting this one slide, unless "Team Sea3on" (guys from Fans United for SatAM) does something about their Patreon (I don't think claiming to be non-profit will slide). It'll also probably be just their webcomic in animated form.

At the very least, it's certain that Richard Kuta will probably flip out over this and how he wasn't a part of it so it doesn't really count.

Thank god most modern day companies who own those characters are too stuck up over IP rights to ever come together and just let some no name studio use their ips all Willy nilly the way they did back in 90. As fucked up as copyright law is at least it's sparing us a shit show like that from ever happening.
Imagine they remade Captain Planet except instead of sanctimonious, heavy-handed messages about the environment, it was unironically defending the other kind of CP.

GaMM is a pleasant surprise. Love the high emphasis on buddy comedy/odd couple friendship w/o any shipping crap and, wow, girls are actually funny for once and not self-indulging mary sues like in owl house. Reminds me of early 2000s nick toons. Even the "calarts" style is not as jarring and coloring is pleasing to the eye.

Or what about whoever owns DIC now?... I know they're not getting Urkel back.

For now. Season 2 might come out and be filled with lesbian shipping and lore faggotry. At least for now its a cute little show that kids and adults can enjoy. Kids can enjoy silly, happy girl and grouchy ghost having fun while adults can enjoy Master Shake as a ghost forced to hang out with a dimwit.
