This is why if I ever create something important, I'd own it outright (at least the characters, then they'd have to get me to budge on these changes).

I'm pretty sure some things of the canon are gonna be changed on this reboot, like one of the villains being a gay crossdresser or Buttercup having a crush on the typical "young bad boy"/all girls want bad boys cliche.

Those things are too problematic in this day and age.

Technically he said that before we knew how it would turn out. He doesn't actually have any power to do anything with it, because he doesn't own the characters.

But let's hope the show bombs and is forgotten, just like it should be...

I can confirm this. The head writer of the show, Haley Mancini, is an SJW. Here's screencaps of her tweets that were found on /co/ and later posted on Tumblr.

On a side note, she voices Princess Morbucks. It sucks.

I wish I still had my old Blossom doll right now so I could hug it. The head writer, the new style... bleh, I say let the show rest respectfully. Its time has passed.

Which makes me wonder how they'll present him. I have a feeling they'll make him more morally ambiguous and possibly clumsy, rather than the truly sinister, evil being he was.

God what a cunt. I feel so sorry for Craig that his creation is getting tarnished like this. What makes the girls' VAs getting replaced worse is that they weren't even asked if they wanted to return. And yet they took back Tom Kenny (the mayor/narrator) as well as most of the villains' original VAs.

Also, here's what they had to say on why they removed Ms. Bellum:

Ms. Bellum went head-to-head with Sedusa and kicked her arse. But nah, let's leave her out of the new series because she's an assistant mayor with sex appeal.

She certainly was (what I call the voice of reason in many cases). Certainly a pretty normal, well thought-out character against the usual, wacky guys on the show.
