But yes, Home Movies is indeed very, very good.

Is Agent Elvis done by the same people behind Archer, or is that just a cope? Like the style is too stylish to be anything but, and sounds too good to be true for Netflix.

I just want to feel confident about its initial reception before watching it with my fiancé, since he loves Elvis.

Just a cope, it seems.
Netflix has teamed with Priscilla Presley, John Eddie, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures Television and Authentic Brands Group for an adult animated action comedy series, Agent Elvis.

^mermaid is the bad guy
Even now after he's left, Katzenberg's hate for his old company still burns on.

Edit after watching: Yeeeeep, definitely a low/middle. GODDAMN IT DREAMWORKS I DON'T GET YOU!

We finally got the trailer for Season 2 of The Ghost and Molly McGee
Why the fuck are these people obsessed about pushing period talk on kids?

It's gross and honestly as a woman getting your periods is not a big deal. I'm sure there are girls who it was a super big deal and all but my experience was just meh. I knew that girls grow into women and that means eventually periods. When I got mine I was excited at a sign of growing up and then being bummed that it wasn't actually special. Periods are pain but mundane pain that you get used to. Just like any other toilet thing really.

It's more or less been a thing for years, Braceface once did an episode on it.

And Disney already did it much earlier in 1946.

But those were done with a lot more nuance compared to Turning Red and Baymax. So maybe there's a chance Molly McGee can do it so much better, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Holy shit lol I did not expect the protagonist to be the best-looking person in that trailer
Why is everything so ugly now christ

As for the actual film, it looks okay? It kind of just looks like a superhero origin story with a different skin. Even the title sounds like it was ripped from a comic book, and it's a real shame that the movie is taking almost no visual cues from that kind of style. Even if it's a little bit overdone by now, comic-book-likes are still more stylish than this discount Aardman shit.
The visuals also just look like Pixar + Aardman and the concept only has the very slightest bit of edge to it, like "oh this redheaded mermaid with a green tail is the villain lol fuck you Disney". More of a meek whisper compared to Shrek's outright middle-finger in terms of trying to go against the grain. Disappointed that she also seems far less monstrous than the poster made mermaids out to be, but maybe she's a "special" mermaid who just doesn't change that much when she goes kaiju or something.

Also lol at them pulling an Illumination and spoiling all the good shit in the trailer. Thanks Meladandri, really glad you bought Dreamworks out so that, now, EVERY mainstream non-Disney animated company (except Sony, if they're still making movies?) spoils everything in the trailers and discourages people from actually fucking watching their movies.

Anyways, this is definitely gonna be on the lower end of the Dreamworks quality spectrum. Was probably being made by the B-Listers while all the talented people were put to work on Puss in Boots so they could kickstart that Shrek Animated Universe and not have everyone immediately dismiss it due to a shitty start. Seems like it's being made to push toy sales for the younger girl demographic, because I guess now that HTTYD isn't much of a thing anymore they need to recapture that audience somehow. Will probably be good for edgy kids who think mermaids are stupid but still like pretty underwater girls. Meh.
