What is the message being sent here? That it's OK to be rude to people just because you have autism? Don't normalize the tard-cardThis clip really bothers me, like she's acting like a complete cunt and people are praising it

All the things I try not being. I find it kind of mess up that their telling autistic kids that it's okay to be rude. Maybe cartoons shouldn't address autism if they aren't actually teaching people on the spectrum how to control themselves.Yes please, encourage seeing autistics as unable to pleasant and let them get away with being a jerks. It will definitely make them more popular and able to cope with the world.
The correct way would have the character apologize for the inappropriate comment, not doubling down and using autism as an excuse. All the things I try not being. the only "positive" I can think of coming from this is more milk for the farmsYes please, encourage seeing autistics as unable to pleasant and let them get away with being a jerks. It will definitely make them more popular and able to cope with the world.
as if every twitter autist doesn't already do this to justify their terrible behaviorI hope to god this doesn't create a new wave of retards being assholes to people and then saying "tee hee just stemming"
very well-deserved, but now i'm wondering how abominable the comments underneath that one must betoo late, some retard in the comments tried this same shit ass excuse, and luckily people railed the person super hard that they left:

What's even more Mystifying is that they actually got an Autism Advocacy group to supervise that episode. What is the message being sent here? That it's OK to be rude to people just because you have autism? Don't normalize the tard-card
so that's another organization to add to the list of "assholes actively harming the group they're supposedly advocating for"?What's even more Mystifying is that they actually got an Autism Advocacy group to supervise that episode.

Is this really how they want Autistic people to be seen like, i think it'll only cause more discrimination.

Is this really how they want Autistic representation to be like? because i think it'll only cause even more discrimination.
There's a reason I tell people as a person on the autistic spectrum I don't want anything to do with these "advocacy" groups.so that's another organization to add to the list of "assholes actively harming the group they're supposedly advocating for"?
also, nice introduction date lol

they're both technicalities that "anti-racists" forgot to account for while foaming at the mouth over native americans and black people so they just lumped them together to be able to screech that they're doing something about every race for more social justice pointswhat the fuck do a chinese american and a native hawaiian even have in common?
Term apparently also applies to South asians nowhere close to the pacific, so it really does mean 'literally everyone except for whites, blacks, and non-hawaiian native americans', at this point if you're gonna be that non-specific just use PoC, because now it just seems like they want people to know that they have a PoC character that specifically isn't black or native lmao rather than being proud of having an east-asian or chinese or whatever character.something something they live in the same ocean

Agreed. This doesn't encourage Autistic kids to improve their flaws but encourage them to act out those faults without remorse and to have an excuse.I agree.
The last thing we need is some stupid kids cartoon validating rudeness and anti-social behavior.
We already have enough that in the world.
The terms just keep adding up.

Jfc just say Asian, Pacific islander or mixed instead of semi randomly dumping two groups into 1 term, what the fuck do a chinese american, an Indian in India and a native hawaiian even have in common?
Edit: apparently that term is actually old and was replaced with Asian and Pacific islander being seperate categories for a reason back in the 2000s, yet recently I've seen cartoon social medias regularly lumping them in together again, like cartoon network making a comp about their craig of the creek asian + pacific characters in 1 video.
Why???
Speaking of which, apparently there's an upcoming episode where Molly questions if she's "Asian Enough" for her family.Term apparently also applies to South asians nowhere close to the pacific, so it really does mean 'literally everyone except for whites, blacks, and non-hawaiian native americans', at this point if you're gonna be that non-specific just use PoC, because now it just seems like they want people to know that they have a PoC character that specifically isn't black or native lmao rather than being proud of having an east-asian or chinese or whatever character.
it's a shame this has to happen to one of the only unique-looking cartoons of recent timesSpeaking of which, apparently there's an upcoming episode where Molly questions if she's "Asian Enough" for her family.

Eh, while the autism-excuse shit is imo quite egregious, looking at just the synopsis this doesn't seem too bad, since the title is '100% Molly' it's probably some basic message about how worrying about something like that is silly or whatever. Discussing this kind of thing in a cartoon on it's own is fine, it just really heavily depends on the execution, like how modern Proud Family fucks up premises that aren't too bad on their own.it's a shame this has to happen to one of the only unique-looking cartoons of recent times

Yeah I could understand how ethnically you're a born from a genetically unique background but being raised in the west could make you feel like you're not like "that group" enough to fit in with your people, even if you are ethnically the same. That being said I don't trust current year nu-west shows to actually handle this well not without some semblance of woke thrown into it.Eh, while the autism-excuse shit is imo quite egregious, looking at just the synopsis this doesn't seem too bad, since the title is '100% Molly' it's probably some basic message about how worrying about something like that is silly or whatever. They handled the jewish shit pretty ok in the first season, and the period stuff so far just turned out to be a VERY minor part of an episode about Molly feeling immature compared to her friends.
Especially when you have writers like these working on your show...Yeah I could understand how ethnically you're a born from a genetically unique background but being raised in the west could make you feel like you're not like "that group" enough to fit in with your people, even if you are ethnically the same. This seems close to being like the owl house except it’s race instead of genderEspecially when you have writers like these working on your show...
