I hate the style of the movie. Something about the designs makes them look off? I want to say the realism and texturing such as John's hair, but it goes beyond that. The eyes look weirdly proportioned, the general shape of John's hair looks off, and the proportions seem to round. It looks like a Garfield with all the edge taken out, if that makes sense?

I remembered watching Garfield and Friends on Toon Disney and Boomerang as a kid and yes, it was based. In the episode where Binky was replaced with the Buddy Bears and was trying to look for work, there was one scene he was trying to run for president, but Garfield commented that there are already clowns running for office.
The only reason they got away with this is because Garfield is a hypocrite and hypocrisy is funny. Bring back hypocrite Garfield.
