Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

He's a robot how does his human half age? I can get his machine self breaking down from neglect but....did the animators only get notes saying it's been many years draw the titans as older." But thought it was supposed to be 50 years in the future? Or the ones working on beast and cyborg anyways? Raven and Robin look great for their ages they're both only just mid 30 or so.
Cyborg is part robot and said robot half is losing power. It makes sense that the machine shutting down would take a toll on his human health be it from stress or exhausting options to remain alive. He arguably had it off worse than Beast Boy, being contained to a tower as his life supply diminishes.

Unfortunately it will not continue as a series, the creator stated
Reunion as a series is not returning. Because of copyright that is just not and will never be possible. This upcoming video will be a final tribute to the Reunion project, that I can't really describe without giving it away but it's not an episode. However, I promise, you will be satisfied ;) See you soon!

New show to drop on Netflix in a couple of days about a woman who searches for meaning in her life as the world is about to end.

The premise and trailer looks kind of promising and I think it'd be interesting as both; a unique take on the apocalypse setting, and a way to talk about adults with no goals in life.

Assuming it's done right as things can easily go 50/50. The art is passable and looks like those corporate blob art people were meming on a while back.
I'm sorry dude but this just looks like shit. It is just going to boil down to the "find ur own hapenis" and "nuffin matters" messaging. I don't even see how the apocalypse angle even plays into it outside of something surface level.
It would be no different if it was about a group of people with terminal cancer.

Two more episodes for the latest Total Drama season leaked, and can be found on YouTube in English as of now. Gonna autism-post about them.

Episode 5: Caleb and Priya keep getting more interactions, with her thirst for Caleb growing ever stronger. She accidentally lets it slip to Zee that she likes Caleb, and he's promising to keep it a secret, but he keeps almost blurting it out. Axel and Ripper are still a thing, and for this episode and the next basically lose all their personality, though I guess in Ripper's case that's fine. Challenge involves going either through an ice maze or an obstacle course, team's pick. Rat Face goes with the obstacle course, Skunk Butts go with the maze, with MK having gotten a map through her intern disguise and a hair dryer to melt some keys free. Shenanigans ensue, and not much of note happens except Wayne and Raj continue to hate the cheating. The Rat Faces lose, and Nichelle quits because she found a contract for some movie deals...which were faked by Julia. Nichelle was such a non-entity this season that I'm not happy or sad to see her go. She just did badass things and had no connection to any other contestant.

Episode 6: The teams merge, there's an immunity statue somewhere on the island, and Chris saw that MK stole his hairdryer. He was fine with her cheating, even outright announces it to everyone, but stealing his hairdryer and giving him a bad hair day last episode was where he drew the line. Chris basically spends the episode tormenting MK by making her drag a canoe to the challenge alone, and makes her fight a bear. The entire challenge is a water-based jousting tournament. Some nice slapstick, but not as fun as the slide-basketball episode. Priya and Caleb keep flirting, and Caleb starts to actually catch some feelings, and Zee thinks Caleb is still just after an alliance since he outright told Zee he had no feelings for Priya at the start of the episode. A powder keg set up to blow. The tournament ends and Bowie is voted off. My second least-favorite character is gone now, so I'm pretty happy, gotta say.

Eh idk doesn't look too bad to me so far. But by that I mean best case scenario it's basically loud house movie 2.0 and nothing to care about...worst case scenario it's nick trying to do for the spics what Disney did for the jungle bunnies with louder and prouder.

When nick goes woke they go woke but they tend to keep wokness to shorts and bullshit made for youtube the occasional moment or dog whistle in a show like the gay couple or Lunas louds dyke gf in Loud House not withstanding.

They tend to mostly downplay it...keep it just under the surface, kinda like Disney oddly enough again gay as fouque shit like owl house or Haileys on it not withstanding.

I'm just mostly confused as to why they're opting to make this when it's been over a year now since this show bit the dust. Unless this has been in the works for some time now, I don't see why they're dumping cash into a nothingcow to put onto Netflix.

I can already tell what Jewflix is hiding in that hideous goyslop. Fucking kikes and their retarded egofag writers can go rope themselves.

Gee almost like...tuca and bertie...or inside job, or any number of the gurlboss power fantasy garbage Hollyweird amd the animation industry is putting out...this...this is why people say ai could do better at least ai can be corrected any flaws in its programming.
I thought inside job was about a condescending autistic woman who learn to not be such an antisocial freak thanks to her male best friend, aka the only person kind enough to like her from the start. Not every shows with a female protagonist is misandrist or whatever.

Plus Inside Job's writing and humor was better than what most people had to say.

Admitably yes it was ill defend the brettfast club episode to my dying breath if only cause its message is actually relevant and poniant. That being, "nostalgia and clinging to a fake past you never had does more harm that good."

But all these shows about girl power trips yay gurl Powa!...are all starting to blend together into white noise to me. Be about a 13 something or a 30 something. Being female doesn't make you special or better than males and the vice versa is just as true. Or as a genius ginger once said.

"If everybody is super than nobody is super."

Inside Job fits right up with one of the more underappreciated modern adult animated sitcoms in recent memory such as Close Enough, Duncanville and Bless the Harts.

With that out of the way, Smiling Friends is still the best modern adult animated show in recent memory, and it's not even underappreciated

Duncanville
It's sad that show is only gonna remembered for having the "cute" purple haired girl with braces in it tham anything else. More people are familiar with the "art" based on Duncanville than the actual show...now ngl I had my share of crushes on blue/purple hair/goth girls (when I was a child myself just fye) but people don't just remember invader Zim for gaz and zita, or teen titans from jynx, raven, and backfire, or hell hotel transylvania for JUST Mavis....well they do remember coraline for coraline but she's a special case. The point is Duncanville was a gem in a sea of trash adult animation but its a crying shame it's being remembered for all the wrong reasons. Almost as sad as.

Bless the Harts
Being remembered as that show that just barley toed the line between 2010s and 2020s cartoon due to its 2019 release disappeared for a while amd everyone thought was doa but came back one last time to everyone's shock and awe.

The two shows, if you take away how they were both marketed (I mean this is Fox we're talking about and its faith with its animated shows outside of Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers or King of the Hill and their respective successes), are still really good with writing, humor and/or character dynamic.

it's on YouTube lol.
Edit:
The animation looks pretty good, I'm glad to see Tai Lung back he was the best villain from the original trilogy. I'm a little disappointed that it's still about Po. I feel like Po's arc is over. That's not to say I don't like him but we had three films and a full animated series with all those characters and none of them besides Tigress got developed, it's a shame to keep focusing on Po. He can do kung fu magic where else is left to go with him?

Wouldn't it be cool if it was about this new thief character, who has similar problems that Po did in the first movie, and then Po kinda becomes her master. It would give Po that powerful presence he should have by now, and it would be satisfying for the audience.

Also the hand drawn style they use in these movies for flashbacks is amazing and I'm still mad they never did a 2d movie with it. Same with HTTYD.
