Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

We are getting a LEGO Pharrell Williams biopic film:

As if you needed more evidence that we live in a simulation.
Lego batman was last good lego film

Looks like they don't even care about the fact it's lego. You know how lego movie used the fact that characters are bricks? Well guess
the style is now just another aesthetic like how billion game companies wanna make millionth hero shooter that looks similar to overwatch or valorant style wise.

To counter some of the negativity in here have this classic student short film from the 80s. This short would land its director a spot working on the simpsons.

Oh fuck you for blocking it jewtube. I don't know how to upload any other version. It's bring me the head of Charlie brown.

That's almost any reboot these days... take main character, replace with black, there's your reboot.

See also: Every ginger female character.
Let's see how triggered they'll be if we replace the black main character with a hispanic.
The Recess reboot feels like its trying too hard to appeal to the "youths"
By "youths", no need to guess then that don't include the young Muslims of Dearborn and Hamtramck and let's not forget the young Chinese people.

They're remaking Gumby without clay instead we're getting a shitty calarts beanmout style

This might be a bit too off-topic for the thread but can western animation succeed through streaming? It feels like companies sank all this capital into streaming being the new thing only for nearly every show to under perform.

You don't have manga and titty mousepad sales to fluff em up like Japan does nor do you have the luxury of commercial money and forced rewatches you get from TV.
