Some pretty unfortunate news related to the California Wildfires currently...
How about a joke? What do you get when you cross a bunch of mentally-ill psychopaths with a well-beloved industry that they treat like trash!?

In other words, no sympathy. They probably cheered on Helene when it walloped Appalachia.

Going off many tangents, I happen to notice images on Pinterest for a cartoon that had animal characters doing a Don Quixote pastiche. Turns out Japan has a theme park devoted to Spain and these are mascots.

Someone had the nerve to screengrab footage from the park and it's still on YT. While I see "Disneytoon Studio" thrown around, this reminds me of what TMS did 30-40 years ago.

I'm getting pretty sick of every recent superhero show being about the hero's first week on the job.
It’s because Marvel and DC have ran out of ideas and have no idea to make new content.

Honestly, I love the superhero genre but one of the problems is they keep rehashing the same heroes over and over and never do anything interesting with them.

I mean, It’s fine to use the same characters over and over but at least come up with a new variation of them that’s not like the previous incarnation.

Tbf that's the main issue with modern day Superheros. Either it's a fresh start between the hero and his friends/enemies, or a decade long clusterfuck of lore and retcons. When it's a show for children having the latter is insane.

The studio politics play a huge factor into this. Hard to really explore new avenues when the various departments are at war with one another and are clearly meddling with a project.

In the case of Spider-Man, the perpetual teenager narrative is definitely Marvel's marketing department getting involved. They need to set Spider-Man back to status quo otherwise they cannot market to kids. It is honestly frustrating that the studio could have their cake and eat it too by allowing Miles to be teen Spider-Man while moving Peter into marriage and mentor role, but that would be too status quo shattering.

In the case of DC, the 500 embargos and restrictions heavily impact their adaptations. The Bat-embargo not allowing Batvillains to appear, random restrictions such as MAWS not being allowed to use Lex, and rights debacles like Wonder Woman needing to be a main character of a series to appear. I love the 2004 Batman, but you can tell the restrictions really hit the series hard and made it worse than it would have been.

Got a look at this preview for a new Adult Swim show or something, it's actually kind of intriguing.
The backgrounds and animation are actually really nice, which I didn't expect because most of the thumbnails I've seen for it looked boring.

It has that kind of hipster off-beat sense of humor that's a little dated now, everyone speaks in weird murmury monotone, but I don't wanna write it off because I find it more charming than some of the other crap that passes for adult animation right now.

Well, the trailer for Win or Lose (that beanmouth show that got the tranny character pulled) is out. What a surprise, this shit is ass.
https://youtu.be/AhxGObicnPs?si=IRsG0K5vbbLtFzQIThe only thing that’s making me cringe more than the Grubhub ad looking ass animation is the awkward, quirky dialogue. And OF COURSE everyone in the comments is looking forward to it. I’ve also seen some people on Xitter saying “How do you know it’s shit? It’s not even out yet!”

This is why I stopped going to movies regularly.

The noseless alegria women opening with a line that literally has the word "SOY" in it told me everything I knew before I had to stop watching.

oh my god, when you said "alegria" and "soy" I was ready for the trailer to be her speaking in Spanish and the soy to be the Spanish "I/I am," I completely forgot alegria is the corporate beanmouth style.

This is what everyone from Los Angeles looks like to me.

Pixar is truly 100% dead now. They would've never allowed this abomination 10 years ago.

No real person nowadays says or comments this. First impressions are everything.
Disney shills say it. Now that you mention it, I’ve recently seen a lot of discourse about the Owl House’s protagonist, and shills are getting mad about dissenters saying that Luz makes a pretty bad first impression (being mad about getting signed up for a behavior therapy camp after bringing fireworks and live snakes to school). I haven’t watched the show, but I’ve heard she’s a pretty static character. So the haters might have a point.

Looks like the 3D animation they use in ads for stuff like mobile plans.
