Warner bros is leagues more incomptetent than disney.
For the sake of brand recognition and shit they have been cannibalizing each and every property they own birthing failure after failure.
Stuff in the likes of Looney toons back in action and Space jam where charming at first, their costant repeat of this, alongside poor quality has quickly turned it all into festering slop.

Harley is an interesting case because she is a charactert hat barely worked in the forst place, when she was first introduced and then nobody has ever really figured out what to do with the character, only instead of just not using her anymore, wb has instead opted to keep trying to rehash the character multiple times because of her original popularity, each time leading to an increasingly more spectacular failure than the previous.
The fart fetish comic just another step in this natural process of degeneration, much like your velma, your teen titans go and loonatics unleashed.
Loonatics is so bad that the head of WB animation has a framed picture of them on the wall in or just outside of his office, legendary fuck up that they never want to repeat again ever.
Funny as fuck my dudes.
The character was still fun when she was paired in the Batman Adventures comics with Poison Ivy, when they were just crime-loving friends, but Harley Quinn has gone through so many incredibly terrible permutations over the years, from murderous fiend to the status quo of the past several years as DC's feminist lesbian Deadpool.
I always thought that Harley would be the most interesting as an examination of a woman just getting out of an Abusive relationship, that can't create a character that can keep getting exploited like batman but I do think it would be interesting.

All this Calarts beanmouth and beanhead got me thinking...

Back on 21 November 2020, /pol/tards of 4chan drew offensive art using Corporate Memphis / Alegria / Globohomo art to mock the artstyle.

Why not do the same for the Calarts beanmouth and the beanhead? So I went to the board and drew some sketches. I think I executed it above-average. I smell opportunities.

And because I suffered drawing this, you have to suffer with me. Enjoy beanworld, beaner child.

I can provide a tutorial to draw the Calarts beanhead and beanmouth because frankly, once you master the minute of drawing the beanhead, congratulations, you can now work at Pixar.

WB should unironically start framing more and more pics of their biggest blunders because loonatics at this point isn't even close to how bad shit has got.
I've already listed velma earlier and nobody is gonna argue me when I say that I'd rather have Loonatics than that, then there's the whole DC extended universe that has just be a piling of failures built one after the other, with something like 2 barely watchable entreis standing there so that the rest doesn't collapse on each other; Space Jam 2 was also unwatchable on every level and we also got plenty of videogames that crashed and burned into a far worse mess than loonatics.

That's funny and all, but I honestly thought Loonatics Unleashed could've had potential since I like the idea of a cyberpunk future in the Looney Tunes-verse, they just misread the room so hard. Could've been the yin to Duck Dodgers' yang if done right.

You triggered a memory I never wanted to remember about how I attempted to draw Wizardmon in a somewhat-different style because (at the time) I was struggling to draw him "right" and it's one of my greatest shames. Besides, Wizardmon doesn't have a nose to begin with so this is absolute haram.

It gets so bad that they have a room that's just walls covered in framed pictures of all their shit.
"Before we start any new projects I just want everyone to sit in the failure room for 10 minutes before pitching anything."
The room is like something out of a horror movie where all the shitty cartoon and video game characters are staring at you.

Loonatics wasn't that bad to be fair, at least the first season. It had potential... And it was completely squandered. The coyote and the duck had more personality than the entire cast combined, especially the coyote, who even had one of the villains as an ex for extra hilarity.
Loonatics was terrible. but cartoon's quality standards have degenerated to the point where it doesn't really looks as bad anymore by comparison.

Loonatics was a bland generic Saturday morning cartoon with a very funny origin story of how badly Warner Brothers misread the room. Today, we've just raised the bar of insulting confusing reboots so high that plain and simple underwhelming doesn't generate that much salt anymore.

The coyote and the duck had more personality than the entire cast combined, especially the coyote, who even had one of the villains as an ex for extra hilarity.
All I remember was:
The Second Season tried to course correct hard from the edgy aesthetic of the first (and coincidentally started introducing more Loony Tunes characters).
The Coyote constantly dying in comical ways every episode because his super power is basically being immortal.
Danger Duck being the best character in the show.
Elma Thud being a cyborg bounty hunter.
Porky Pig being a crime lord.
The Feminist episode about the island of female plant monsters.
The Racism episode where the Roadrunner's parents find out that his best friend is a coyote.
Sylvester is Darth Vader, Granny is Palpatine and Tweety is just the worst.
The female Zordon mentor character is 50% segways into annoying flashbacks.

Elma Thud being a cyborg bounty hunter.
Was either that or he becomes The Fudd. Seriously, this could've been the polar opposite of Duck Dodgers easily since Duck Dodgers ended while Loonatics started--oh...

Oh fuck, what if Duck Dodgers was canceled to make room for this?

Also these were the original designs (I think they survived somewhat when it came to using their powers) and I'm wondering if the final designs were a saving grace.

Didn't the bunny originally have a deep, edgy, gravely batman-wannabe voice before everyone called it gay and quickly switched back to the usual Bugs voice?

The redesign was also mocked but it was admittedly little better than the over-the-top tryhard edgelord of the original look.
Here, these videos were made pretty much at the very beginning of youtube, but gives you an insight of how much despised the show was, and especially the design of characters.

Ok I need to look up, this shit sounds so stupid it's brilliant.

Thank you for the future profile pic, it's great.

Harley has an issue of flanderization. Like you could make Harley and Ivy work as lesbians, a sort of Bonny and Clyde approach or toxic relationship that enforces the worst traits of the two yet they're cool with it, but WB just reduces them to "just the other one's girlfriend", though its worse with Ivy as she is less popular and is just generic lesbian lady.

Same with Harley who has a goofy, eccentric personality, but they just make her deadpool because that's popular and she's a funny character who isn't super evil like the Jonkler.

Speaking of which, they rarely ever even try to have that relationship or dynamic since people connected to that abusive relationship in the sense they can see themselves in Harley and the comics tried to actually explore her growing past that in some cases. But most adaptations (aside from like the Harley Quinn show) just have her leave him and be super happy immediately.

There's also how they exaggerate how stupid she is as while Harley isn't the sharpest bulb in the shed, she's still pretty smart at times yet her idiocy is exaggerated to the point that she's mentally retarded, but its actually cause she's cooky and random.

Obviously because they can't do such a dark thing because WB tries to make her a new pillar for the DC brand when that's part of her history.

It gets worse when brand syngergy comes into play because of that Suicide Squad Game where she just becomes the typical lesbian Harley who is ultra confident despite the fact this game they made takes place in the Arkhamverse where she is a literal baby killer and has repeatedly shown in other games to constantly double down on loving the Joker that she'd start doing terrible things because of it.

tl;dr Harley is a victim of her popularity where WB just makes her a lol so random goofy character because they don't want to bother with any of the nuances. Its very sad that the animated stuff mostly tries more than their other subsidaries.

Not to mention how WB cancels every single thing or fucks over projects that have any success for the sake of short term gains and not wanting to take risks with new IP even if the people working for them have shown to be reliable. WB burns so much good will that it is insane and then ask themselves "how can we reach out to kids?" after cancelling all kids programming or denying any new IPs to blossom.

Disney is a terrible company but they at least try to pretend to be in touch with their audience even if it's half-hearted attempts.

WB would see anything they think is a billion-dollar idea and go all in on it to make it the next big thing even if it doesn't prove to succeed like how they made Black Adam be this hyped up character in their animated super pets movie and the comic books before that movie came out.

It’s been said before, but what CW tried to do with the failed PPG live action reboot is no different with what they tried to do with Riverdale by making the Archie characters dark, gloomy and way too gay for the sake of checking off boxes and not adding anything new or original to the “updated” story.

Same thing with what they did to Nancy Drew on trying to turn her into a “#girlboss” detective.
Riverdale was able to get multiple seasons because Archie is surprisingly more flexible compared to the Powerpuff girls and it can work with a very low budget as it is very grounded, it also gets really retarded that at least can give it a "so bad it's good" vibe.

PPG has more established stuff and routinely have the girls fight kaiju regularly that would be way beyond the budget for CW and that trailer shows it with how it looks like a Linkara skit.

Decided to watch that Common Side Effects I've been hearing about. It's good! There are still competent writers out there - complete with Chekhov's Gun.

Looked into it but I'm surprised Ian Worthington (Worthikids) isn't involved in the production in any way. There's a lot of shared hallmarks: emphasis on complicated hand movement, the slightly choppier framerate, lots of dance poses, similar flavor of music, big heads relative to the body, lots of micro movements of the eyes. They even both drive food trucks. But Ian's name isn't anywhere in the credits.

edit: skip to 4:30 for the dancing

Wow its almost as if adapting a cartoon into live action is nothing short as a fucking stupid idea instead of improving on it like producers and investors believe it to be.

For C.Martin Croker they fucked over by not giving a fair wage despite more or less having a hand in all of Adult Swim's early shows and he would wind up dying in poverty
Carey Means who voiced Frylock was not given the same contract as the rest of the cast and received no royalties for his work
Andy Merrill who was close with Croker in basically creating AS is now working as an amazon delivery driver and has said he's at the bottom of his life.
I can guarantee there are plenty of others I forgot or don't know about.

Damn, I did not know any of this. Just looking at it, it seems much of the creative talent that made early Adult Swim got completely and utterly screwed by management and locked out of the entertainment field solely from not being connected to the LA/NYC entertainment complex.
