We have the majority of the Animated Bible series, plus Book of Mormon and Animated Heroes Classics from the same studio. They're fun bite-sized cartoons to put on for a half-hour or so, and even to show in Sunday school if you're particularly lazy about the lesson that week. Literally Ivan Crossland's Jesus is my go-to voice for him every time I read the scriptures lol.

Speaking of Richard Rich, I learned not too long ago that he's not actually an animator, he was mainly a director, producer, and writer. And apparently he's just quietly retired and kinda-sorta lives off the grid now who does occasional piano lessons according to someone I found on YouTube who knows him from their family ward. It was Steven Gordon who's the main character designer for the studio, the man worked with Ralph Bakshi before going to Disney and then leaving with Rich for his studio, and he was then hired on as character designer for X-Men Evolution. Absolute legend no one talks about.

EDIT: HOLY FUCK, did they get the Robert Axelrod as Bartholomew? Bruuuuuuh.

When it comes to Mormon animators, there can be only one.

There's also a bunch of shorts produced by Mormon student animators at Brigham Young University that are quite good.

Adult animation, in the meantime, is still too childish in behavior and outlook on top of being too nihilistic, which is so fucking baffling that no one can make adult animation without that type of mindset because the two do not mix, like have you ever met a child with such negativity and soul-sucking cynicism about the world? (If you have, that child's been abused or is a psycho in the making.) Fixed sounds like it's more inspired by fratbros locker room humor than "hehe you said 'sex'", however, the premise is definitely alienating even if there's more to it than what marketing would make you believe.
I think that you answered your own question. Since animation i still considered the stuff to children, who are usually optimistic, positive, and are fond of what's cute and colourful, adult animation distinguishes itself by being the opposite: cynical, negative, ugly and rab. There is also the ratings that make anything with yiff, gore, and PROFANITY TO THE MAX 'for mature audiences only' and, more importantly, 'not for children', which means that adult animation aims at raising that content rating.

Saw this animated pilot tonight. It's kind of autistic and very beginnery, but it's all kind of endearing:

Psychoanalysis of Tumblr-brain. I think the most fascinating part of this isn't the "audiences are uneducated" part, but the "people saw this as an opportunity to sell themselves and their products as moral alternatives" part. Honestly the idea that people like Lilyorchard and Anthony Gramuglia are the internet equivalent of televangelists is a pretty enlightening one for me.

Also explains why I've heard the "I'm a professional writer" claim from people like them - they're self-published writers.

Orchard isn't even self-published, he just says that he's totally ghost written multiple books before. But don't worry, he's working on an actual book now (in an alternate timeline where the Earth is doomed because Trump wasn't alive to save it), he has 18k words in it so far! Though, he has announced that he's encountered one tiny issue; he has no idea what the plot will be yet, but it will have siblings sleeping together (totally platonically!).

Semi-off-topic sperging, but if this "DoctorWhat" guy is the same one over on Alternatehistory.com - THE forum and hub site for a niche hobby - that's fascinating to see him speak so accurately on tumblr-brain, and his join date makes me think it could very well be him (he was far more active in the early tens on AH.com). Why? Because AH.com is so positively overrun by these types, trannies, and far-left weirdos (but I repeat myself) that it made me blink seeing someone from that dumpster go against the grain I always knew him of with point 2. He'd have been crucified if he dared criticize social justice on AH.com.

Really brings to mind how much these types captured the internet via tumblr starting from about fifteen years ago, then graduating into the industry, only now to see their tumblrina mindsets collapsing on them now that their therapy media is flopping in sales and reception.

How come would a place where studying Alternate History would be overrun by Tumblresque weirdos? You would think it may have History Buffs, perhaps commies or pinkos of some stripe. Yet why trannies?

Maybe some grandpa who views war docos. Weird.

I'll give a serious answer, best I can, but also will point to asking this in the Shitty Alternate History thread for more perspectives.

AH the hobby as we know it nowadays really began gaining steam in the post-WW2 20th century with people like Philip K Dick and Churchill writing on ideas like if the Nazis/Imperial Japanese won WW2 or the CSA won the Civil War. For a long time it was semi-short on research but long on fun concepts. Understandably, it was focused on western and especially Anglophone history.

AH.com, graduating into a webforum in the early-mid 00s from an usenet channel or so if I remember right (correct me if I'm wrong, anyone else) starts off in some ways as the latest version of that stuff - mostly western-focused, Civil War or WW2 timelines. It begins to branch out more as the internet's increasing ubiquity means you no longer have to rely on your local library's set of books for knowledge - that's good! Now we're getting much more researched and plausible timelines, ideas, stories, etc. for more subjects and across the world! Excellent, excellent. At worst it means for funkier ideas you gotta put in more work to justify it, but hey, that's part of the fun of worldbuilding, eh?

But you also have the internet becoming infested with trannies and tumblrinas at the same time the internet becomes mainstream. And you know the quote - "HRT devastated nerd communities the same way crack devastated black ones" - and most of the newer "generation" of AH.com users are, well, growing up in this timeframe. We begin to get more fanciful tales like hot chicks piloting WW1 planes, for example, in this era.... or in off-topic sub-forums an obsession with My Little Pony.... and gradually, unsurprisingly, as the 10s and 20s go on these guys grow up into the troons we all know and hate. And you know how many troons have troll's remorse over Nazi shit they joked about in the 00s to early 10s? We're in a hobby that explicitly HAS studying evil stuff as part and parcel of the gig and of course eeeeeermagerd they were so so awful and incompetent (and true, they were incompetent, but that's besides the point) and totally you have to make clear of that if you're writing a WW2 timeline say, or you get banned even though most normies would implicitly understand it's just a story you're writing. But you also have soooooo many stories where European-American expansionism is stopped or halted in some form to let Amerindian states survive BECAUSE JUSTICE AND DIVERSITY or something. And that includes also so many stories where conveniently women's suffrage somehow happens ages earlier than it did, or some troon advocate's for women's rights, yadayada you get it. So the old-school tales of conquest and settlement or even science go the way of the dodo.

You mention commies and pinkos. Like troons everywhere else, these guys, by now completely capturing AH.com's culture due to the administration's own far-left biases (one of the mods is famously, shall we say, "Californian"), also make plenty of stories where communism wins, or democratic socialism, or whatever. Even worse is the Political Chat sections, where increasingly much of the forum's regulars and posting in general congregate, is full-on commie-troon-far left radical agenda-izing, and at the moment they're all openly celebrating Charlie Kirk's death and wondering how the hell anyone could mourn him (including his family).

In short, a buncha nerds utterly got swamped over by internet culture and all the intervening stuff to further help troonacy, like covid locking up a bunch of people and letting them do nothing but watch porn all day, and in a hobby consisting of nothing BUT nerds, well, yeah. They completely chased out, or rather banned, anyone to a bit to the right of far-left in the forum and became ONE HELLUVA echochamber. I got banned from the site a while back for not kowtowing to The Agenda, but it's sad seeing the actual point of the site become corrupted and even surpassed in simple post amount by the politi-sperging.

Like troons everywhere else, these guys [...] also make plenty of stories where communism wins, or democratic socialism, or whatever.
It's like instead of getting speculative about something that could've happened, they're just writing wish fulfillment for their pet politics. The worst part about that shift is it goes from something anyone tangentially interested in history can enjoy to essentially masturbation.

Sure is a lot of words and masturbatory diction to get across "Hey, I recognize that guy from AlternateHistory! That place is full of spergs". Maybe spend more time communicating what you're trying to say rather than overfocusing on demeaning people.
