The only person I've ever met who liked Moomin was some weird ass Arabic guy in a Discord I used to be in some years ago who would post gay Moomin porn and used it as his profile pictures everywhere he went. I have literally never heard of it before or since interacting with him.Honestly Moomin deserves nothing less.
If anyone thinks otherwise, they are retarded. Tove Jansson pushed for legalizing faggots and pushed for it to be in media, including kids stuff. If I would start a book burning, Moomins would definitely be on the list.Honestly Moomin deserves nothing less.
Such a garbage franchise made by a cheating lesbian that only appeals to "cutesy" abhorrent people.
Moomins is actually swedish. It's just that the most famous version of it, the one you're probably thinking of, was an anime. It's got that sailor moon syndrome, the liminal vhs aesthetic. You know what... Not even surprised.
All that "anime inspired" cope is just to weasel their way into Japanese properties.
I know what that's like. I felt like I was the only one that liked that shit in school.I found out from the indie comics nerds at my high school

My year is ruined, the worst thing to ever happen to the Moomins is the Americans and Canadians discovering it especially the 1990s animated series.
Anything that originated before 2010s should never ever be touched by millennial hands.
Why do the worst people always get hold of the most timeless properties? Comet in Moominland is a great movie fuck you
To play the devils advocate :Now ask yourself: who exactly is going to be inspired and motivated by any of the latter?
what previous work has dana done to prove to someone like me (not gay, or a fat lesbian)play
Will she wipe out Russia in this one too because they're not fond of the gays?
really shit advocacy considering the site has a 1000 page thread composed of people who watch and discuss hazbin hotel. To play the devils advocate :
- the series wasn't made for Kiwifarmers
There's a difference between ugly character and ugly design. Frankie is a mid character with an ugly design. Someone like quasimodo is an ugly character with an appealing design. The reason she's ugly is not because she's supposed to be bad looking in the show, its because she looks like a bugman as a result of being drawn like that.the writing is what will either make or break the show, not the character design because there are lots of beloved shows with ugly characters

now look up Quasimodo fanart and report back.Went looking at some fanart of this bish
Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 is right there. You can just watch it.now look up Quasimodo fanart and report back.
you're the only one here that can do this, I ain't doing that shit
God speed.
My problem with the design is the hair. She’s supposed to be a mechanic who works around machines.View attachment 8007956
Went looking at some fanart of this bish to see if maybe she looked nicer in those. Its a bit of a toss up, 50% make her more appealing and 50% make her even uglier.

Her features look way more appealing in this persons style, and al they changed was making the nose a bit more protruding and reducing the bug eyes. Show frankie honestly looks like one of those overbred dogs that cannot breathe.

Same with this one, shes still a fat fuck with busted teeth, catterpillar eyebrows, eyebags and a nose bump, but having actual eyelids, an actual nose, slightly less twiggy ankles and a slightly more realistic overall width makes it less painful to look at
And then on the other hand you have

Moomins are Finnish. The creator spoke swedish but she was born in Helsinki.Moomins is actually swedish. It's just that the most famous version of it, the one you're probably thinking of, was an anime. It's got that sailor moon syndrome, the liminal vhs aesthetic.
I think Rebecca Sugar actually isn't a bad choice for Moomins, mostly because the series is about being light and quaint, which suits the tone of her art I think.
Although personally I'd rather have Nick Cross, the art director of Over the Garden Wall take a crack at it. Him or Felix Colgrave.
