Broccoli hair *sigh*

Let me guess, this time they're somehow going to tie ogres to being black people and it's going to be really bad and stupid?
Saints alive I remember living in a world where saying that would be laughed off as a joke, not an actual thing to be concerned with being a possibility the writers genuinely believed in shoe horning into the script.

I wish we went back that that. This is how we manifest these ideas.

I wanted to share something with the lot of you, but I didn't know where to post it so I'll be posting it here.
Allow me introduce you to God's Gang

The series revolves around the titular God's Gang and their fight against intolerance, misunderstanding, and dissonance. Now, who are the members of this elite squad of superheros? Well, allow me to do the honors of introducing you.
From the God's Gang website:

I wish I could have some witty description of each character, but seeing is believing and I think the website does it best.

Created by Nimrod-Avraham May, a tech entrepreneur from Israel. I can't seem to find any more of his works other than this series. He did an interview with a Press Play Cinema, a defunct podcast, and The Jerusalem Post. I've subjected myself to watching the podcast and reading the article to give you all a summery on who this guy is.
  • Came up with the idea of the show after Disney acquired Fox. Pitched the idea at a Disney exec summit as "interfaith power rangers"
  • During the same summit, he pitched the idea of sending the first kid into orbit as a part of a "how to make disney great" plan
  • Grew up in a secular home. Father was a holocaust survivor, mother was an orphan. Became an atheist as a result
  • Appointed a special board of advisors for the show, an interfaith counsel who he consults whether a topic is too sensitive or not. Consists of 2 muslim advisors, a hindu specialist, a rabbi, a US pastor, and a pedagogic counselor
  • Currently bankrolling the show on his own
  • A Buddhist and an atheist MIGHT join the gang
  • Does not believe the show is about religion or faith, thinks that the show will exist to promote "shared values and shared connections"
  • Put spiritual codes into the show I can only assume he means that he put references to Judaism into the show. His example is when the characters say "thought, speech, action" and apparently these are elements of the soul in Jewish thought
  • Is a good consumer lmao
  • Responds personally to comments made under the God's Gang channel as the admin
  • Would bring an unbiased AI to help "save the world"
  • Animators are from a Indonesian-based company, about 80% are Muslim. Says that his project is the perfect example of showing what an "interfaith global universal" would look like
  • NOT interested in money and wants to alchemize money into good vibes
  • MIGHT be a God's Gang Game in the future
  • Says that Jews were chosen to spread light
I just wanted to add that I'm glad that Press Play cinema is dead is fuck. The person doing this interview with Nimrod is so grating. She will not shut the fuck up and I would not want anyone to endure what I have. If I missed something funny or important, I am sorry.
Holy shit, this lady is fucking talking about herself during the interview. God, please stop talking you dumb horse.

I'll just link the first episode here so you can get a feel for how the series runs.
Do I think its good? No, the villain of the first episode hooked vacuums to whales' blowholes so they can harvest their scent so they can make their home planet less stinky. Nimrod also chose to cut the pilot episode into 3 episodes for some reason.

sorry im a faggot and can't back up shit. can someone do it for me pls. thanks.

If the characters are led around by an angel, the fuck is the atheist gonna be there for? And how does this not clash with everyone else's faith?
I don't expect much from a guy named Nimrod.
The second episode revolves around ChrisCross cooking cheeseburgers for the team who reject the burgers as they cannot consume them. The audience finds that a villain somehow planned this cheeseburger trap to try and split the team up because they're "just so different." This situation gets resolved as ChrisCross manages to cook up a plate of fries in their mystery machine and the episode ends with them eating fries and the pigeon saying he likes hotdogs.

It's all a mess and my shitty description does not do it justice.

It's like the anti-Buddy Bears.

People who believe in Jainism follow a special version of vegetarianism where they are forbidden from eating root vegetables (such as potatoes) as their religion would consider it an act of violence against a higher living being. This means they cannot eat french fries for religious reasons, let alone hamburgers. If you want to make a cartoon about religious tolerance, at least do it right and don't forget to acknowledge smaller religions.

Fun fact: this is the symbol of Jainism

Also, they always include Judaism in media about religious tolerance, but they never mention Taoism, Shinto, Sikhism, Voodoo, or Isese, religions that have way more followers than Judaism.

I don't think I will thank you very much. I wonder what "God" is that which they follow... one that preaches "tolerance" as a virtue?
Anyway, that design reminds me of Tartakovsky's works. I don't know, yet it seems to have something distinctive about it.

You bet they don't care to read about "other pagan religions" other than giving some lip-sync so they feel feel better about themselves. And the main attack is (always) against Christianity.

Before I took a closer look I thought, "what is this some kinda Christian cartoon studio ripoff of hazbin hotel?

After seeing the character bios and a detailed synopsis of the plot I don't know whether or not I wish that's what this crap was.
