Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

holy shit, you can actually make cool things in dreams?
Hell yeah dude!

There has been a ton of really quality projects springing up. One of the most infamous is the Avatar The Last Airbender game being developed. It got so big, even the voice actors of the show got involved.

Same guy as Courage has also been developing with other IPs

Well this could be interesting.

Some comments are like “Didn’t Roger die in the original novel?” Yes, but apparently Wolf liked the movie so much that he retconned said novel. I recently rewatched the movie again and have been on a detective kick, so maybe I’ll try and find the sequel books. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is them apparently backtracking Eddie’s character development.

I don't expect much from a guy named Nimrod.
The second episode revolves around ChrisCross cooking cheeseburgers for the team who reject the burgers as they cannot consume them. The audience finds that a villain somehow planned this cheeseburger trap to try and split the team up because they're "just so different." This situation gets resolved as ChrisCross manages to cook up a plate of fries in their mystery machine and the episode ends with them eating fries and the pigeon saying he likes hotdogs.

It's all a mess and my shitty description does not do it justice.
I guess in a stupid way, I found this idea/concept endearing somewhat. Is it possible? Fuck no and anyone who legitimately thinks so hasn't even been outside. But it kinda resembles when a little kid tries to say 'they should be friends!' When they first learn about geopolitics or centuries-long conflicts. Very innocent. This isn't to say the creator has this mentality, but the show itself dose.

But yes, it's quite retarded.

The little screamlings now want a Kpop Demon Hunters sequel. I've been subjected to their story ideas (some are actually intriguing tbh) they wanna know about Rumi's dad.

Wow, I didn't know it got that nice. People using it RIGHT.

Pixar has really fallen from its glory days, heh. Who knew firing Lasseter was a mistake? Well, the mouse certainly didn't.
They might as well just quietly bring him back at this point. #MeToo is long over, and it's not like he's having much success on his own. Everything that's come out of his solo studio has been equally mediocre. Pixar only worked as well as it did because it had all the right mix of people, and they clearly can't recapture that creativity separated. (And that's not even counting the death of Joe Ranft back in 2005 taking away one of their OG creative heads.)

I hated 4, I almost fell asleep during it. I haven't liked a Pixar movie very much since Wall-e. That said, this actually looks more like what they should've done with 4, focus on Jessie and new tech coming in. And of course they should've ended it at 3.. Maybe even 2. Making Bo Beep and the spoon major characters in 4 was so painful.

Wasn’t the whole point of the last film that Woody was going off on his own. Why the fuck is he back?

Say what you will about 4, but at least it made some sense. If 1-3 were sort of the parent growing up with the child (Woody to Andy), then 4 worked as a nice retirement arc. This just ruins the entire point of Woody moving on in that film.

This is why I glad I never watched past the first film. I'm fine with just that.
Just watch the Jessie's song from 2 (When she Loved Me) at least I'd say. It's one of the top most emotional animated moments I can think of, up there with Pinocchio donkey-transform and its ending. In a lot of ways I like 2 more than 1. 3 really didn't have much going on. The villain is pretty lame ( I actually keep forgetting it's that bear, really nothing to him) and I honestly think they shoulda had one of the 'big ones' (slinky would've been a good choice since Varney was almost dead anyway) actually fall to their death at the end.

4 felt like waiting for a bus ride in a city you're not sure there's a bus line at all. It was just.. meandering and forgetful in all ways.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElhbTsKsros for the song. It still chokes me up every time, there's such a sense of loss, hope, and then dashed.
