This is why I buy phyiscal copies of these shows, I have Ed,Edd n Eddy. my Little brother has courage the cowardly dog.
 
Something to note with Taz-Mania, even though tubi uses the original telecine (betacam) masters, apparently metv toons (as of last month) has exclusive rights to the hd remasters of the show. Howevr it's likely warner bros has had this remaster for a while as of the date of this video from their genwb youtube channel

Ai is fun for shit posting, that's it. When and if a movie comes out using it for the whole movie it will be slop, cleaner shinier slop than crap movies made by mediocre ass hats but still slop.
It will also bring out the worst tendencies of amateur and professional "filmmakers". Even if they're not bad it will completely lack soul.

I recently watched both of these movies.Things to come has aged horrendously, it's a movie that is pure Progressive humanist propaganda(it's an HG wells adaptation with his direct involvement) it's delusional, but it full of Ideas and the view of that time and reactions to WW1 that gives it soul.
Metropolis is Older and goofyer in places, but it's also more interesting given how it critiques the emergence of industrialization and the progressive businessmen(I think it was made BEFORE Marxism/Socialism was popular) it's religiosity/symbolism is very heavy handed but it's story is interesting and again speaks to real thoughts people had at that time. That gives them soul, when works are made because of technology you get stuff like polar express or Jame Cameron's Avatar, technologically impressive(in the Avatar movies case even at home and even the oldest film) but they completely lack soul. Avatar is just a tech demo that's horrified to have a deeper world and plot. Do I need to even bring up polar express? Do you even remember those movies?
The only reason people treat AI films like a real possibility is because modern movies suck so much, it won't be a huge thing and of it dose become that, it will shows how fucked the industry is.

I remember that show it was alright. Good to watch when there's nothing better on. I downloaded a bunch of these for my pad to watch for trips and stuff. I haven't see them in like forever.

a lot of stuff was designed to be watched on a shitty old ntsc crt
when they filmed it they were working with the idea this was being watched at home on a 10" screen with rounded corners, interlacing and a bunch of cathodes raping your eyes

Age and the fact that its not dc capeshit related (so therefore warner archive when doing the restoration was a bit sloppier with the restoration) they didn't even remaster the opening so its still in telecine quality
Hell even the stereo master for the audio in the intro (this being the christmas special airing on November 16th 2025) seems to be shit as the music & sfx track is low and reverberated while the vocals are more higher and way more reverberated.

How soon we forget the good ol' CRT days with dot crawling, aliasing and other analog artifacts of the broadcast medium. I was the last generation to see telecine-ing look like shit before the 80's made it less ghostly.

Garfield is the ubersmench of toons. He has achieved an immortal state of being that will probably last long after Jim Davis punches out for the last time. And even if his new material sucks he has a backlog of old "classic" material that he can always fall back on.


Oh and of course the character himself couldn't give a shit about your approval or anyone else's. He's beyond caring about anything but his own sense of self and reality.

Also, is Davis even making new comics anymore? There could be a "ghost artist(s)" making the new comics now.
