Do u guys have suggestions for animated movies? I am a bit of a sleep-deprived parent who can't remember titles of animated films.
So I gauge you have a daughter, so that should probably factor in to what to recommend
Disney is pretty much the ultimate girl factory. You have a ton of great options, but the ones I have seen girls cling to are mainly the Princess films and a few random:
- Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs
- Cinderella
- Sleeping Beauty
- The Little Mermaid
- Aladdin
- Beauty & The Beast
- The Nightmare Before Christmas (not Princess but very strong female following - might be scary though)
- Lion King (not Princess, and you already mentioned, but still a classic)
- Mulan
- Tarzan (Not Princess, however, girls seem to like jungle man)
- Princess & The Frog
- Tangled
- Frozen
- Moana
Pixar is a company where you can pretty much select anything from its beginning to 2010, or in other words, till Toy Story 3. Though, the ones that are the best for kids are:
- Toy Story 1,2,3
- Monsters Inc & Monsters University
- The Incredibles
- Cars 1 and 3 (yeah, I know, but it is still very popular and seen as underrated now. Kids also love it)
- Finding Nemo
- Inside Out 1 & 2
- Brave (decent, not great, Princess film)
Dreamworks is a mixed bag, especially for girls, but primary suggestions are:
- Shrek 1,2, Forever After (3 is the only truly bad one, series concludes nicely with 4)
- Puss in Boots The Last Wish
- How to Train your Dragon trilogy
- Kung Fu Panda trilogy
- Madagascar trilogy
- Rise of The Guardians (mid, but women go crazy for Jack Frost)
- Over the Hedge
Warner Bros is odd as they don’t have much, but they still have a few things to suggest. A lot of it is DC, given you have a daughter, I am going to assume the only capeshit that might land will be Batman and the teen heroes, as those are the ones I see female fanbases centered around.
- Scooby Doo Zombie Island (might be scary)
- Scooby Doo The Witches Ghost
- Scooby Doo Alien Invaders
- Scooby Doo Cyber Chase
- Scooby Doo meets Batman
- Scooby Doo & Batman Brave & The Bold
- Dexter’s Lab Ego Trip
- PowerPuff Girls Movie
- The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy Big Boogey Adventure
- Batman Mask of The Phantasm
- Batman vs Dracula (might be scary for her)
- LEGO Batman
- Batman Return of The Caped Crusader & vs Two Face
- Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo
- The LEGO Movie
Illumination is bottom of the barrel, but it has its moments. Would mostly avoid but if you had to:
- Despicable Me 1 & 2
- The Super Mario Bros Movie
Nickelodeon is one that gets seldom mentioned, but does have some highlights:
- The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
- Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius
- Fairly Odd Parents Channel Chasers
- Rugrats in Paris
- Invader Zim Into the Florpus
- Rango (bit intense/ inappropriate for kids)
- Back at The Barnyard (not great but my sister loves this one)
