Anyone remember Chaotic? You know, that tcg cartoon that 4kids made in 06? Remember how the first season was done in flash then all of sudden changed into straight up anime?

I got to thinking about Easter specials today and how very few there are. A few are famous. Here Comes Peter Cottontail, for example.


But they hardly show it anymore. Even the Peanuts Easter special isn't seen much these days.

There's also those that are hardly ever seen. Anyone ever heard of Easter Fever, a Nelvana special from the 80s that had Garrett Morris and Catherine O'Hara?


Of course, other cartoon characters have had Easter specials. There were a couple of Looney Tunes Easter specials (one of completely-new cartoons... made in the 80s, so they all suck), there might have been some Disney Easter specials, and there was at least one Hanna-Barbera one that was only really memorable because of its villain:


And oh yes... an honorable mention, the only animated Passover special ever:

Hey, I watched AD:JL too, but even so, it's still was in the ballpark of "cartoon style" at least.
 
A little late on easter specials talk but one animation I still enjoy is Rankin Bass's first Easter special. Its basically swapping out Christmas with easter in the case of The Easter Bunny is coming to town, name included but it still holds a special place in my heart personally. It makes me wish people would make animated holiday specials again.

This wasn't their first, though. Here Comes Peter Cottontail was.

Did Violet do a fucking "power to the people" fist in the air at the end? I hate "race-coded" characters so much.

Anyways the crowdfund for the Lackadaisy 2D film finished with quadruple their goal a few days ago. I wish them all luck on actually meeting their deadline. Not even Coronachan can stall them since the whole cast and crew live apart and there's no need for IRL meetings.

Considering I read plenty of manga that are much, much gayer than that, I don't have a problem with seeing gay parents in Ducktales, I'm just wondering if Disney will cut all shots showing them together in China and Russia the way they do with the token gay kisses in Marvel and Star Wars movies.
