Yeah, it's moved to 2021As far as I know, it's still going. All the original creators are involved. I have no idea when it'll be out, but it'll probably be next year at the earliest.

I’m pretty much piling on at this point but it did in fact get delayed from it’s 2020 release to 2021. From what I’ve heard, the original creators are back on board and I think Nancy Cartwright is reprising her role as Chuckie.I remember hearing about a Rugrats reboot. What happened to it?
I assume everyone else is back as well, but I don't know who's going to replace Jack Riley and Joe Alaskey.I’m pretty much piling on at this point but it did in fact get delayed from it’s 2020 release to 2021. The proposed live action/CGI movie seems to have been canned however.
I think it actually looks pretty good for a reboot. There’s episodes of the original show that looked worse. For anyone curious about the upcoming Animaniacs, the brew just released an article detailing how the new crews gone about updating it:
Not exactly the method that I'd choose tbh.
I didn’t know they were that bold enough to make an Animaniacs reboot in this current day. Though, it will probably end up like the Ren & Stimpy reboot that’s coming soon. For anyone curious about the upcoming Animaniacs, the brew just released an article detailing how the new crews gone about updating it:

There's a date. It's supposed to be out around Thanksgiving.I didn’t know they were that bold enough to make an Animaniacs reboot in this current day. Though, it will probably end up like the Ren & Stimpy reboot that’s coming soon.
I'm more or less just going to "wait and see", but given that I dont have HBOMax+ I probably wont ever watch it.I didn’t know they were that bold enough to make an Animaniacs reboot in this current day. Though, it will probably end up like the Ren & Stimpy reboot that’s coming soon.
It less how they're drawn and more so the amount of research and designs that they went through only to wind up with "eh forget it, just update the originals". Still, good excuse to binge the old show I guess.I think it actually looks pretty good for a reboot. There’s episodes of the original show that looked worse.

Which ones in particular?I'm not gonna watch it, myself, but really, some of those designs looked godawful. They did the right thing - you can't beat the original ideas.
Which ones in particular?
So basically all of them? /sneedThe ones that looked like the stereotypical CalArts style.
That first one in particular, yeesh; there would have been a shit storm on par with Roar had they gone with that one. The fact that they passed over those styles in favor of a modern update of the old artstyle shows at least shows the CalArts style is falling out of mainstream use. Or that could just be me hoping. The ones that looked like the stereotypical CalArts style.
On the other hand, the Cuphead sheet was a loss. In addition to the novelty of being by Studio MDHR themselves, it’s a nice nod to how the Warners come from 30s era animation in universe. So basically all of them? /sneed
The only one that stood out to me was the Cuphead sheet, the rest just looked like other contemporary shows.
It'd need to move like a 30's cartoon for that style to really work, which means actually animating by hand.the Cuphead sheet was a loss. In addition to the novelty of being by Studio MDHR themselves, it’s a nice nod to how the Warners come from 30s era animation in universe.
