I remember those from MTV. Was Rolf related to this guy?Even bigger news. Guess who's coming back to animation?
I guess I was right. We're gonna live in a world where the Animaniacs reboot will be instantly dated. You know, how much you want to be that even if Biden truly gets the office, most cartoons wont ever bother making fun of him and will remain to live in the reality where Trump won again and they still have their boogie man to make cheap jokes out of? There will be Trump jokes even when he isnt president anymore, I guarantee it.

I do wonder how long the Trump jokes will last. How long were we still making Bush jokes after Obama won?

To reiterate what I said, we’d be living in that world no matter who wins. Political jokes have very poor shelf life, especially in the age of the internet. By the time 2030 rolls around, these jokes would be staler than an unsold baguette.Thats mostly on them, the thing about political jokes is that they are very easy to get dated. You can make like, jokes about Bill Clinton being a cheater, thats pretty timeless because it has base in reality. Most of Trump jokes are regurgitated "jokes" that are made on Twitter and by TV funny men each 10 fucking seconds. There is no originality about them and ultimately are "Trump is bad just because we dont like him because the media told us to feel that way."
Besides, I personally think they will last a long while. People are ADDICTED to hating Trump, at least people were relieved when Bush was gone and outside of a few jokes for a few years, they pretty much stopped. However, people may hate Trump but I feel like they ultimately need him to make "orange man bad" jokes the left has grown so addicted to in the last 4 years. They are ADDICTED to the hatred they feel for this man. They dont simply dislike him, they hate him and the thing about hatred, it can be very addicting. Once what you hate is gone, you will most likely still pretend its there because its difficult to find something that replace that hatred with.
So I think the Trump jokes are here to stay for a while, even if Trump accepts the "true and honest" results and resume his business career without a concern in the world, the left will continue to make jokes, blaming the current state of america not on Biden now but on the "mess" that Trump left behind.
Every.thing.has.to.be.Trump's.fault.
I just really think most cartoon writers were expecting Trump to get another 4 years just as much as most of we were, guess even leftists didnt expect themselves to cheat into to victory so badly.

Though given that shows like Family Guy were still making jabs at Bush in 2011 as well as the nature of animation lead time, the ride won’t end easily.

In this case, I do wonder if Biden will get made fun of if he makes a major blunder in office, as in Chavezing or Mugabeing the US economy into the ground, even though that's not gonna happen unless the entire Senate and House does something like all go blackout drunk or something.
Maybe he will be like obama...in retrospect I dont recall many stabs and jokes at obama in comparison to Bush...
Come to think of it, it feels like that there were more jokes thrown at Clinton, compared to Obama, but I'm not sure if it was because cancel culture was much smaller back then.
